"Being schnitzeled out we decided to give the Mexcal a try. Found the restaurant atmosphere quite good, waitresses very efficient, and helpful, service in general excellent. Bathrooms clean. Konig Pilsner draft was also quite good. Place was extremely busy and reservations definitely recommended on a Saturday. Ordered hot cheese covered chips as an appetizer and happy to find a smattering of jalapenos (meals come with free (no cheese) tortilla chips and salsa so this may be sufficient). Now, on to the Fajitas. There are some foods that are not meant to be localized, Fajitas is one of them, if the owner reads this, please use it as constructive criticism . The chicken came well presented in a hot skillet and was good, but way too much bell pepper (paprika). The guacamole was runny (watery) and tasteless, it was winter, so Avocado is a bit difficult to find to make home made guacamole but perhaps a better pre-made product can be found. The sour cream was runny as well (the sour cream needs to be a thicker consistency). Not sure what sort of shredded cheese was served, but it should be cheddar. Here's the biggie, there was no Pico de Gallo and no fresh corriander !!!!! (again, winter time, but Fajitas without Pico de Gallo and Corriander are not Fajitas). There was some sort of parsley based chimichurri but it was not very good, and chimichurri is not normally for Fajitas, it is normally served with carne asada. The tortillas were good and hot, but they were cut in half, limiting the size of the Fajita I could build and resulting in a rather soggy eating experience. Tortillas need to be served whole, and if the customer desires them smaller he can then cut them, no need to remove the option. One final comment, although the waitresses were nice, the male staff (owners ?), although efficient, were very very dour, not a smile, nothing, they need to lighten up, smile a bit. Looking around at some of the other dishes being served, they looked fairly good, so I'd go back if I get a craving for Mexican, but probably would not get the Fajitas."
