"Staff not very attentive, very slow to be asked anything, sitting for ages with our wine eventually had to ask twice! If we could have some bread. Starters were fab to fairly good. But there it all ended! Mail course was awful and because I complained about raw potatoes I was made to feel that I didn’t understand the dish. I love veg to be on the very undercooked side in fact its my preference but raw potatoes is definitely a no no. We weren’t charged for my raw potato main course but as it as a special night out,! it totally failed! wont be back !"

We both enjoyed a return visit and our friends enjoyed their first visit. The food was excellent especially the hake. The service was very efficient and friendly.

A lovely little restaurant serving excellent food at a very reasonable price. Everything cooked perfectly and some really nice little touches. Very good service too. Would definitely recommend.

We opted for the lunch menu and it was a fantastic choice; the food quality was excellent. The restaurant's decor was also lovely. We will definitely return, and the dinner menu looks impressive too. I couldn't find anything to criticize!

the quality of food was absolutely brilliant. the glamour of bark wellington was sensational, like the squid. the deaf was beautifully cooked and was as shaved as the skallops. this restaurant is a must if they live or are just visiting edinburgh. the lunches are also so good, dinner was worth every penny. please give this restaurant a try, they will not be disappointed.

This was my first experience dining at Michael’s, and I can confidently say it won't be the last. As someone who's allergic to shellfish and not particularly fond of fish, I was a bit concerned about the variety on the set menu. However, I’m pleased to say I had plenty of options! The food was outstanding—beautifully presented and delicious. I look forward to returning soon to explore more dishes.
