"We had noticed this wee place on a previous visit and instead of our usual cafe, decided to give it a try. Mixed feelings about it. Staff seemed friendly enough and despite being very young on the most part, were attentive if not knowledgeable about their offerings. We just wanted a drink and snack and ordered 4 plain scones, they only had 3 so we settled for a biscuit and scones. The scones were small and brick like. Thankfully they were served with 2 pats of butter each, which added some moisture. In my opinion, a cafe is only as good as its home baking. unfortunately this doesn't do it for us, we won't be back. At £14 for 4 drinks and snacks, including squash for the kids, it is on the high side for what was served. The manager, I assume, became very animated when chatting to a customer about jewellery which is made on the premises, which looks great, hence the 3 stars!! Otherwise she didn't really seem interested in the customers."

This café offers a variety of delicious homemade dishes. The staff is friendly and the place is always bustling. The prices on the menu are reasonable compared to other nearby cafés.

I was surprised by the limited tea selection and lack of customer choice at this restaurant. The tea pot dripped when pouring, making it difficult to tell if the tea was ready to drink. The milk pot also dripped when adding milk to the tea. The tea had a strange smell and was undrinkable. The server couldn't explain the tea and offered to not charge for it. No replacement was offered. Overall, we won't be returning to this restaurant.

There are not many cafes in Montrose town centre, but Nature's Garden Cafe was a great choice for a quick meal. My husband enjoyed a Tuna Cheese Panini with salad and crisps, while I had a delicious sultana scone with butter and jam. The decaffeinated tea was also very good. Despite the limited menu, the cafe offers all the typical fare you would expect and the staff are friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a welcome find in the town centre. Stopped by for lunch with my daughter (2 years) and had a lovely lunch. The menu is not extensive but perfect for lunch toasties, sandwiches, soup, cake etc. We went for a cheese/ham/chilli jam toastie and a cheese and ham children's sandwich with a fruit scone to share. The children's sandwich was a little too big but everything tasted lovely no horrible plastic ham either. Service was a little bit slow but they were busy. High chairs available. Would recommend.

My heavily pregnant friend and I walked into the cafe for the first time, none of the staff even looked at us as we walked to a table. The table was full of crumbs, we waited 10 minutes before asking if it was order at the till which it wasn’t. There was only two other tables in at the time. We ordered milkshakes which took a further 15 minutes to come. I had a deluxe milkshake with cream on top and no straws as they had ran out of them. The place itself needed a very good clean. I was so annoyed with the experience, I won’t be back.

"Overall, we had a disappointing family meal at the local restaurant. We booked for a table of 12 for my mum's birthday. We were the only table when we arrived. Another table of 2 arrived during our main course. There was a friendly informal server when we arrived though I got the impression he was not a formal waiter as he did not know much about the menu. He also disappeared after a short time. After this time, we were served by one of the kitchen staff. Obviously, this led to inadequate and slow service. The meals were served very slowly. We had no option to order more drinks throughout the meal. Our main course plates were not taken away after we finished and after waiting for a while we decided just to leave and get deserts at home. Some comments about the food. We were told when we first arrived that there were no steaks. That reduced our options considerably. However, what surprised us was one of the diners at the other table was served a steak! We were told that they do not have tomato sauce. This is highly unusual for a restaurant that serves steak, burgers and chicken tenders with chips. One of our party member nipped down the road to a local shop and bought a bottle ketchup for the table. The food was okay but we felt it was very one dimensional. A lot of the dishes were served in a similar manner with the same dressings and toppings. The chips were a little greasy. I would have wished that our experience was better but unfortunately it wasn't so. I understand how difficult it must be for the restaurant trade just now and we try and support local businesses. However, we would still expecting decent service and food. I tried to message the restaurant in the first instance for a response but have not received any reply."
