Had dinner in the John Muir room at Oran Mor, before GlasGLOW as the location was ideal. Food was lovely, and after dinner, we stayed for a few more drinks instead of moving to another bar, as we were very impressed at how attentive staff were. Highly recommend if looking for somewhere nice for date night. Service was immaculate from start to finish.

The service was extremely slow; we ordered but didn't receive our meals until 1:20 PM, despite sitting down at noon. Everything was just too sluggish. The food was average, and the kids' meals were particularly uninspiring. Overall, the value for money was poor, especially with a service charge of £22 on a pre-ordered set menu that took hours to arrive. We had also booked the John Muir, but the experience in the brasserie fell short and didn't seem well organized overall.

When I arrived for our Christmas dinner, I double-checked at the restaurant, only to find that we had been moved from the dining area to the bar. I explained our situation, but unfortunately, we did not receive the table I had requested. The food was good, although it differed somewhat from what was listed on the menu, and there were mistakes with the drinks. I understand it was a busy night, so I can overlook that, but the seating issue should not have happened. I hope things have improved because I plan to return this Thursday and have booked the same table from another location. It would be incredibly disappointing if it isn’t available. Visualizza piatti

The starters were decent, and the dessert was satisfactory, but the turkey was quite disappointing – it tasted like reconstituted meat rather than a proper roast. The chocolate torte was a poor excuse for a dessert, lacking filling and flavor. The staff did their best, and we certainly did not want to hold any disappointment against them, but our experience was still extremely disappointing. Additionally, there was excessive noise coming from the bar, and when a classic Christmas song played, it was quickly replaced by something far more aggressive. We tried not to let our dissatisfaction affect the mood of others, but this is not a memory we will cherish.

The starters were quite good, as were the vegetables served with the main course; however, the turkey was not up to par—it appeared and tasted like reconstituted meat rather than a fresh bird. Additionally, the chocolate tart was disappointing, with hardly any filling and stale pastry. Though the staff were doing their best, we tried to keep our disappointment from affecting them. The noise from the bar was excessive, and the music was quite jarring; as soon as a classic Christmas song played, it was abruptly switched to something much more aggressive. We made an effort to maintain a positive attitude for each other's sake, but unfortunately, this experience is not one we will cherish.

The food was reasonable, although the meat in my steak pie was a bit fatty and the carrots were rock hard. We were sitting about as far away from the door as you could get, but unfortunately we were directly in line with the door, so it was a bit chilly. Service was great apart from waiting ages for our desserts. Normally the wait wouldn’t have bothered me, but we were going downstairs to see a band,so were having to keep an eye on the time. Staff were lovely though. I liked that we were given a carafe of water straight away without having to ask for it. We were seated in the bar area, so quite a noisy place.
