Pizzeria Rustica Da Giovanni

a large restaurant where you can enjoy good Italian food at a good price. a large terrace is available and also a large dining room, probably too open. the quality of eating is high, with good pizza and pasta.

I've been reviewing and that was a good review. just after two years back. although in new spatial areas next to the old place, it was still excellent. beautiful large terrace and very good Italian food. pretty fast and fair prices.

Good atmosphere when you sit outside or in the restaurant. Owner is present to make suggestions for your order of food and wine. Very popular with French people who live on the Rhine in Elsace. Make a table reservation if there are more than 2 restaurants.

A group of fitness club went and ordered half potions of mussels and pizza. Extra orders were no problem and all were served by extremely friendly waiters. Eating arrived soon enough and all got their orders at the same time. As usual, Giovanni came to welcome us and asked if we were satisfied with the food. On special days, weekends it is good to book a table.

Having lived in Italy for many years I am very fussy about the food I get. This restaurant gives you the true taste of Italy. Excellent food. Good prices. Although a little off the tourist track it is always doing good business with the locals. Always a good sign. Giovanni, the owner, regularly comes round to check that all is OK and just have a chat. I will certainly eat here again, and again. Good value, good service, reasonable price. What more can you ask for.

this is a really nice place with a great terrace and beautiful seating in the interior. the pizzas, calzone and risotto were fantastic. the only reason why we gave him four instead of five stars is that the waiting period was about 45 - 60 minutes and there was no bread basket or something for the children during the waiting period. we had a table reservation, which would be recommended for the later evening as the dinge would recover, but we arrived at 6:30 a.m. when it was very quiet.

this is the 2nd time i have eaten at this Restaurant..... on both occasions i have had NO reason to complain about the FOOD..... My complaint is the SERVICE.........No i was not met with a warm welcome as i was not French...(no offence to the french).....I am however English and my husband is .... BUT speaks FLUENT GERMAN...... We were greeted ....but in French...?? Every time the WAITRESS came to our table SHE spoke FRENCH...??? Even though the place is only 15 mins walk from me ...I WILL NOT be going again.................

4 years I live in Breiach and the Pizzeria Rustica has become my favorite Italian. Tagliatelle with salmon, spaghetti-Carbonara, pizza rocket with salmon and mozzarella or with parmas ham or the horny stone mushroom Tagliatelle simply a dream, with a good drop Brancaia Tre from Tuscany and a top espresso from Caffe Cutugno and the day was successful. Luckily you can buy this caffeine cutugno in the pizzeria, so I can enjoy it at home. Go ahead and I look forward to the new restaurant next year. I'll go on... Greetings Your Gourmet

the new location of the pizzeria rustica (I think it was earlier next door when I am not mistaken) is located in a completely restored old barn/storage house and is a beautiful, open and airy space. the main room is large and can become loud when it is full, but there is also a nice smaller space through the inner sliding gate of the snow we prefer. it also has a very large terrace with many seating, but it lacks the ambiente and it is really just a concrete terrace. some additional landscape/pot plants etc would make the terrace softer. the food itself is excellent and is offered in appropriate amounts. we have eaten in more than 15 years on travel in many pizzerias and Italian restaurants...
