"We've tried many restaurants in Hannover and after visiting Rampoldi, our reaction was "How come we had missed such a terrific place?"Perhaps folks miss this as its not in the regular restaurant district. It's relatively close to the train station but with the parking coming off right off the main street, one misses it and its a detour to find it from the back so...Ambiance: A mixture of upscale and homely ...a bit on the minimalistic style - whatever the semantics, it works!Food: Super! We had ordered the 3- course set menu - a small salad with house dressing,a super potato soup with truffles, the main course of fish with a medley of vegetables and mashed potatoes, and a yummy dessert of pannacota with plums. *Each* of these courses was tremendous in presentation and especially in quality. The fish dish was a delight - crispy outside texture and moist inside, and what a delightful combinations of vegetable - carrots, pea sleeves, nuts and garlic mashed potatoes perfectly matched with the house suggested wine. The owner was serving himself - pleasant and helpful (with fluent English) and good food, good ambiance, good service does the trick for me. Cost: The priced are mid-range and the food justifies them.Some people commented that the place was not full on a Friday. True. We got there around 8pm and its was rather empty. By the time we left around 9.30, there were just a couple of tables empty. On querying, it turns out that Mon-Thu are the busy days with primarily business clientele.I will absolutely look forward to going there again!"

We had an exquisite dinner at Rampoldi's paired with a very convincing selection of wines. This certainly seems to be a part of the culinary must-have's of a the city of Hannover

certainly one of the 5 best restaurants in hannover, nr. 1 regarding the price-performance ratio. again and again new positive surprises, whether for a business appointment, a beautiful evening to two or a small celebration.

Overall this was a good experience!The food was great and great value for money.The ambience was perfect for a business dinner and the minimalistic look really works.Wine list was not great and could be improved, the staff were pleasant but could do with showing a bit more attention.

They say that the easiest way to win a man's heart is through his stomach. Wrong. Great food, can instantly win anyone's heart. Went here with my husband for dinner on our last trip to Hannover. The food was delicious, the see bass and beef tenderloin, just perfect, and the parfait for dessert, very yummy. The decor is beautiful and warm which makes the perfect setting for the food. We had a very good evening.Highly recommended

"What do you like?")Prices: In relation to the local price level the prices are the most ambitious in this restaurant, but not really overpriced.Since all that experience gave a feeling of ho-hum routine I have no idea why to come back for another time.

Before going to Hanover, I had found a restaurant ( Feuchters Lila Kranz) on the Internet that was rated in the top ten and had a very appealing menu. Upon arrival at our hotel, I asked the desk to call the listed number to confirm that they were open and to make reservations. Mission accomplished. However, upon arrival at the listed address, the restaurant was now named Rampoldi. The manager said that this error has been going on for years - apparently the old Internet listing is still circulating. Anyhow, excellent soups and chef's special appetizer was spectacular.
