Not the greatest curry I have had and like a lot of food deliveries quality does suffer by the time is gets to the door. Manager did contact me to resolve a dispute once I raised a concern,. I was disappointed with my recent visit to the restaurant as the rice, lentils, and aubergine were all undercooked. I had enjoyed my previous experience there, so this was a letdown. The service was good, and the atmosphere was decent. We opted for a take-out dinner, and the price per person was between £30-40. Very disappointing takeaway curry from Red Rose Lounge so will not be returning. We ordered the Harri Massala (chicken tikka) and Halim Sag (vegetarian), neither of which matched the description on the menu. There was no evidence of green peppers or other claimed ingredients in the Harri Massala, which had an unexpected sweet/sour taste with very little chicken. The Halim Sag had no discernable vegetables and also didn't match the menu description. We also ordered a large Tarka Dhall which had no substance (consistency like water and no taste) so very poor value.

We made a 7 pm reservation for a Saturday evening for a party of 4. Upon arrival, it was clear that our booking was not on record and the staff showed no interest in verifying the automated email confirmation I had received. Despite the lack of apology, we were seated and placed our pappadom and drink orders. The table was set with 4 sets of cutlery but only 2 wine glasses and 2 napkins, a sign of disorganization. Service continued to decline as our food order was not taken until we prompted the staff, over 30 minutes after receiving our drinks. There was no apology for the delay. Recently found out I have a food intolerance to Dairy Gluten, many places do not cater for these allergies, which is really disappointing when you love Indian food! Thankfully Red Rose Lounge DO cater for many allergies the gentleman we saw was very helpful their menu clearly stated the dishes containing/not containing specific ingredients, which was a blessing for me so much choice, it was wonderful when I have to be careful! Our dinner was lovely kept hot as we had it as a takeaway, we will definitely be returning as i struggle finding places to eat out as this is a Restaurant as well so we can still enjoy our nights out!
