J'ai pu y aller à plusieurs reprises et j'étais plutôt mitigée par rapport à ma dernière visiteMaus alors la waouhUn accueil géniale , une cuisine parfaite et le cadre toujours aussi beau Je ne peux que vous le recommander surtout avec les beaux jours qui arrivent

Nous avons choisi ce restaurant pour sa renommée mais également pour son côté authentique et en altitude.Nous avons été satisfaits tant par l'accueil que le contenu de nos assiettes. L'échange avec la patronne a été par ailleurs très agréableNous recommandons ce lieu.

Non je ne ferai pas l' éloge de ce restaurant,où la patronne ni le personnel de service ne font aucun effort pour considérer le client à savoir le saluer à l 'entrée et lui souhaiter un bon appétit en le servant! Plats de qualité médiocre, viande surcuite...service très lent malgré un restaurant à moitié rempli.

Mention extra... car tout était extra!Plats vraiment excellents (les tripes sont "à se rouler par terre") avec de la matière première de grande qualité, l'ensemble étant très généreusement servi. Bon service, efficace. Rapport qualité/prix quasi-imbattable.L'ensemble dans un cadre de verdure d'une beauté imparable.Une référence.

Although 3 Kms up the hill outside Thannenkirch it is well worth the visit. The views are stunning and the restaurant provides local Alsace cuisine of the highest quality in a very homely setting. Service was attentive and helpful. My starter of smoked salmon was...huge (worth sharing) and of the highest quality. The lamb shank main course was tender and full of flavor with a wide selection of fresh vegetables. My wife's veal fillet was also superb and extremely tender. Local wines were reasonably priced and the evening was very special. We had no room left for a desert but there were several great options on offer. You will not be disappointed!

in the 9 years we have visited the idyllic auberge melkerhof, we have always enjoyed excellent eating, fast service and a very warm welcome. the extensive wine card ensures every taste. At the weekend and in the week the melkerhof blossoms with French customers and those who traveled from afield. our only critique to melkerhof, which is in the did a compliment, is that it is not always easy if you do not book early. high above thannenkirch in the Vogesenwäldern the auberge melkerhof is a great exit point for hikers and a paradise in Alsace. we are always looking forward to our next visit. if they are lucky to get a reservation, make sure they are in the first equipment when they drive up the...

This restaurant was recommended to by a German language teacher from West Chester, PA , USA who has relatives nearby this place. He said it was out of the way but worth the trip for real Alsatian cuisine and mainly frequented by local people. He...was not kidding. We visited this restaurant for lunch after touring Chateau Haut-Koenigsbourg when I realized how close we were. GPS mapping only helps so much.
