Great range of ales on cask and a small but very interesting and well curated whisky selection. Quality juke box too.

Visited before going to Bramall Lane to watch football.Good selection of real ales and good pub food available. Very busy but service excellent.

Very good beer selection the food looked lovely did not try myself. The decor is a little odd the posh nosh doesn't go with the place. But enjoyed my time here.

Don't be misled by the exterior. The food in this pub always has outstanding flavour. Having eaten at most restaurants in the city centre this place is a favourite for food and selection of ales. The menu changes frequently and food is fresh and well presented.

If you like the northern working men’s club experience circa 1973 then this is the place for you, indeed, its a shame that the establishment has to follow the rules prescribed in the Health Act 2006 (C28) as the only thing missing from this working class fantasy are the ash trays on every table brimming over with fag ends.

The food is this pubs redeeming feature. Pub interior smelled like a wet dog. Desperately needs a refurb. Music that day was 90’s Eurotrash and one hit wonders. Way too loud. I missed out on pudding as the music and volume was too sh1t for the group to bear. I guess it’s trying to be one of those sub culture type places but when you can afford the drinks and food these days it just means everyone’s pretending.

Visited because of a recommendation, maybe because it was match day, but service took a long time, the lady serving was polite (and that was the best part of the visit) the place looks tired, the beer garden needs retitling empty barrels yard! and needs a complete overhaul. Didn 't finish my stout, wife didn 't finish her wine. We will visit again (recommender normally gets it right) when back in Sheffield and hope we caught them on a bad day

Don’t use the jukebox, they will charge you and skip your songs anyway. They have a list of banned music which will be skipped, but they will still take your money for them. Even music that is not on the banned list will be skipped if it is not to the staff’s personal taste. I have worked hospitality jobs all my life and had to listen to rubbish music it is part and parcel of the job. Don’t take people’s money and skip their songs anyway. Aside from this, staff were aloof and rude.

The Rutland Arms is one my locals when working from our office nearby, its looks might not be for everyone, if you want fine dining then look elsewhere... what the Rutland does incredibly well is delicious food, the menu is basically made from specials, so can change daily. From the fantastic burger to delicious Seabass, Sirloin Steak, Jamaican Goat Curry... to the small plate tapas style food. All amazing! not had a bad meal yet. The staff are great too, not to mention the 'proper chips ' and wide range of Beers and Lagers. Love this place.
