we went to the castle monaise for a team Christmas dinner and it was simply amazing! the setting is great, service impeccable and the kitchen: a tasty bite!

the atmosphere in a chateau of the 18th century is attractive. excellent dishes are freshly prepared and beautifully presented. the service is friendly and somewhat unconventional.

Even buiten Trier aan de rand van de Moezel vonden we dit eigenzinnig restaurant. Geen Duitse schotels hier, maar heerlijke vis, lekkere bereidingen en een keur aan exquise witte Moezelwijnen. Prijzig, maar zeker de moeite waard.

the beautiful castle from 1779 is now renovated and used as a restaurant. all details are original rebuilt and repainted, so you feel like 200 years ago dining or having lunch in this luxury monument. also the dishes are very special and you can taste...fresh and finest ingredients. furthermore you get an awesome view to the river mosel and to the surrounding parc with his show jumping that you can see best from the terrasse. try it, its worth it! Wir haben unseren Hochzeitstag am 26. Dezember auf Schloß Monaise gefeiert mit einem hervorragenden Essen. Ich hatte schon vergessen, daß sogar das Brot und die Butter auf dem Tisch hervorragend sind. Auch die Weinkarte ist noch immer lesens-und bestellwert. Das Restaurant hat sogar 15 von 20 Gault Millau Punkte. Und zu Recht. Ich kann wirklich jedem Freund einer ausgezeichneten, gastronomischen Küche anraten einmal in Schloß Monaise zu speisen. Sie werden es nicht bereuen.

Wir waren geschäftlich an einem Freitagmittag dort und haben großartig gegessen.Hubert Scheids Küche ist einfach schmackhaft, keine Schnickschnack-Verzierungen auf dem Teller, stattdessen ordentliche Portionen von erstklassigen Produkten, das Amuse Gueule war ein Happen seiner berühmten Foie Gras mit Mangenscheiben. Exquisit.Danach eine sehr edle Bouillabaisse mit zwei Filets Rouget (Rotbarbe), geschmacklich sensationell, weil Herr Scheid auf Qualität und Frische allergrößten Wert legt. Der Hauptgang passte sich qualitativ nahtlos an, Kalbsbries in einer cremig-würzigen Sauce mit weißem Spargel und Morcheln. Schon lange habe ich nicht mehr so gut gegessen. 15 years I've never had a disappointment contract, I was always thrilled. my American man has two favorite restaurants in europa, one in brüssel and closed monaise is the other. the food quality is high and very consistent, a kind of belgian/french cuisine with fresh seasonal ingredients, and some variations on old German favorites like sour wort, or (a favorite) the German griessknoedel. the personal is friendly, consistent, effective, inconspicuous. they trust me in these, they were always and I eat at least once a month.
