"Very disappointing. Very very disappointing. I have eaten at this restaurant before but after eating there last week I will never go again. I ordered a panang chicken curry, the quality of the meat was poor, the sauce was thin and watery, the rice overcooked and my friends meal was supposed to have seafood in it and there were about 3 bits of seafood which were overcooked and it tasted of nothing. I am a big fan of Thai food and therefore was very disappointed with the quality of the food. We complained and got nowhere, they couldn't of cared less. The restaurant was busy so I think that they have just got to the stage where they are just serving in volume and not worrying about quality...read more"

Reliable, affordable and friendly, this is a real local treat. The best express lunch for miles. Faultless, unpretentious, authentic and consistent. Come and try it, again and again!

Great thai, veggie friendly. The deep fried squid is the best in london i think, its fresh tasting not rubbery at all. a light batter toasted garlic and chillies..man this is good Lamb massaman, me and the missus argue over who will order it, as we dont like ordering the same thing Great place, friendly staff, cheap prrices and the lunch specials are a bargain i like the photos of thailand around takes me back to travelling there

Having eaten at the Silom on countless occassions with friends and familiy, I have only good things to say about it. In fact I struggle to undestand anyone NOT having a great time there. Above all else, the food is exceptional and good value. So of my friends have lived and worked in Thailand and all have said that the Silom is as good as anything they have ever tasted. You can say much more than that. My only warning would be that when the menu says something is hot and spicy, it means it!!

Disappointing. I used to be a loyal customer at Silom Village having regular take aways, celebrating various occassions there and recommending it to friends. More recently though, Silom has been inconsistent in the quality of food, take away orders have been wrong (got a prawn pad thai instead of the requested chicken pad thai only discovered it when I got home and service has been rude. There's far too many Thai places around for them to act like that they can't afford to disappoint loyal customers. So, it's a NO from me!

tasty Thai food with reasonable price eat – find this place better suited for food that wants to taste most authentic Thai for Southeast Asia, it is quite a good restaurant service atmosphere – friendly staff, no need, long wait for eat, no-frills decor but clean. I have also tried out a few times their lunch express menu and enjoyed it. recommended – Starter Cab yes (scrat cake) or sweetempura, porn – my fauna dishes are steamed seabass with fresh chili, roast seabass with mango salad (cooked speciality,) roasted with chineseaf or tamarinde, raw Papaya salad. dessert – roasted ice cream why not...read more

not child friendur all- don't go there when they have a small child. a few days ago I went and mean man with our one-year-old son there. to let him entertain while waiting for our order, we let him play with the tables held on the table. once in a while our child was falling down the spoon as part of his game and I had to pick it up and give it back (to do denial, that would have upset him). The waiter there was extremely rude and told us that we stopped making noise. when we tried to explain to him that our son is only a typical year old that needs to be entertained while mama and dad are waiting to eat to come, he told us that as...more

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
