Sweet Pea' Tea Room

It certainly is a gem and makes any trip to Market Harborough even more enjoyable.

We found this coffee shop quite by accident and after having morning coffee decided to go back for lunch.

I visited this tea room on Saturday WOW it was so BUSY (popular),the food was well presented and very tasty,considering on how busy it was the staff provided a excellent service. I will be coming back to this little gem.

My husband and myself usually pop for lunch or ice-cream when in Harborough but this week we fancied a change so decided to try Sweet Pea's. Because we had our dog with us, we took a table outside and I went inside to order.

Excellent central location. On the day we visited it was very busy and we had to wait for a table. Well worth the wait. We both chose jacket potatoes and they were delicious. Service was brisk and friendly and the place literally buzzed.

I’ve been here several times, but every time I go to Market Harborough I have to at least pop in for some fruit scones to takeaway! I have never had such delicious scones, I’ve even had to give up buying them elsewhere because they just don’t compare to these ones! If only I had the recipe!!!!

Today our family visited this tea room which was extremely busy and as a group of five we managed to find a table for four. The staff immediately arranged another chair to accomodate us. The drinks and cakes we received were delicious.The surroundings were lovely and a great place to take time out from exploring.

Found this lovely vintage tea room today and it did not disappoint. The place was well decorated, not OTT tacky vintage, offering a decent menu at reasonable prices. Delicious loose leaf tea, tasty cakes (the scones are excellent) and decent coffee. The loo was clean and tidy and accessible too. The only downside is the step up into the premises. The friendly and efficient service was very welcome.

Our first visit to this delightful independent tea shop. The staff were very friendly, the menu extensive and the food excellent. Not the cheapest jacket potatoes £6.50, pot of tea £2.25 but well worth it. Big pot of loose leaf tea with lovely strainer, unusual teaspoons, and China cups and saucers. We did have to ask for condiments but they came immediately. The one improvement we would love to see is the use of fairly traded tea, coffee etc. Then it would be perfect. Highly recommended.
