The menu is confused and the waitress had a roll-up cigarette in her apron that fell out when she was serving us.

The starters were delicious, but unfortunately, my main course of lamb was very dry. I couldn't eat the crushed potatoes without water, and the dish really needed a sauce or jus. It was a letdown for a much-anticipated evening out.

Courgette linguine contained no courgette. Other vegetables therein poorly cooked. Soggy pasta. No seasoning. Overall a tasteless dish. French waiter very perfunctory. Two glasses of Malbec cost £17.40 a ridiculous price. Very dissatisfied.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch, staff exceedingly friendly and welcoming, we stayed at the hotel for our wedding night 51 years ago they kindly took us up to see our Honeymoon room. My Wife says that it was the best Sunday Lunch she had ever had especially the roast potatoes and the Pork Belly which we both ordered was succulent with great crackling. They made our day extra special, many thanks.

We had a delightful dining experience at Table 22. The food, service, and cocktails were all excellent. The only downside was that the main dining area was a bit chilly - I was seated by a drafty window and our table was positioned in a way that caused people passing by to bump into my husband's chair. However, aside from that minor inconvenience, everything else was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back.

Friendly staff, a great menu. Really thoughtful flavour combinations executed very well. Good portion sizes, enjoyed 3 courses with out feeling overfull. Great wine pairing. A bit chilly in the conservatory, but did not detract from the excellent food. Atmosphere was a little lacking, but I think this is always a bit hit and miss with hotel restaurants. The excellent gin list would be enhanced by descriptions in the drinks list. Great to see such local produce. Overall very good will definitely return.

The staff was friendly and the menu was great. The taste combinations were thoughtful and well executed. The portion sizes were good, and I enjoyed three courses without feeling overcrowded. The wine pairing was great. The winter garden was a bit cool, but it didn't take away from the excellent food. The atmosphere was lacking something, but that can be hit or miss with hotel restaurants. Adding descriptions to the gin list in the beverage menu would improve it. It was nice to see local products being used. Overall, it was very good and I will definitely return.

Very empty for a Saturday night we were the only diners in the main room and few in the conservatory. Menu is limited and several dishes had prawns with them or one crab dish neither of which I eat. Confusion over our light bite to have before the starter meant that all came together. Too much potato with the scallop and squid dish. The main course lamb was perfectly cooked but lacked any sauce and not sure about servicing with just and interesting salad alongside the crushed potato. Dessert was disaster a very solid panna cotta served in an coffee cup so no chance of testing consistency. Got the bill wrong in our favour so I handed over cash to cover the two glasses of red not charged. The...
