"the corn store pulborough the lady's behind the till in cafe were lovely but old lady behind till In shop was horrible. today we went into the cafe and ask if parrots were allowed in the staff behind the till said yes as long as they don't fly. we said that's fine as they don't fly but we're in bird bags anyway. we sat down, spent a fair bit of money, then before we were leaving the old stuck up lady said you aren't allowed in here anymore as your bird screeched twice and other customers were annoyed. we asked the other customers if our birds were annoying them and they all said we didn't even realise you had birds in here. when actually they have all double doors open with screaming motor bikes going passed so you can't hear eachother talk and the lorry's are vivrating the whole place. she gave us horrible eye contact the whole time to make us feel uncomfortable. I said to the lady you've let dogs in here what happens if they bark? sh replied with they will be kicked out too if they bark and same wih noisy children. food was awful (which I'm more than happy to diguss) she was very rude and we was spoken to disgustingly. There were 6 people that's happy to vouch my opinion so more than happy to explain further. so please be aware this is not an animal or children friendly place."

The owner is very rude. If there is noise she will shake her head making you feel really bad being there. She makes you rush and get out. She thinks that kids and animals should not make any noise.

The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. The beautiful terrace overlooking the River Arun is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a beautiful sunset. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Visualizza piatti

Parking is difficult, but if you can overcome that, then you get a friendly welcome and a range of delicious cakes. Next time we shall go for lunch. The larger part of the premises is used as display cabinets for collectibles/knick knacks etc.

Visited with a friend, very friendly staff; good coffee and delicious shortbread. Had a lovely time browsing all the wonderful items in the shop. Had a great chat with Helen the owner. Will go back soon and would definitely recommend. Prices very reasonable. Bernice.

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. It’s a delightful setting, there is seating inside and out, and the food and drinks are superb. The friendly service just made the whole experience very rewarding, and I highly recommend it. I was pleased to see a Mum er of breakfast options, including granola with yogurt and fruit as well as the usual full-English. Great choice of lunches, sandwiches, and cakes.

"My mother and I had been following the Masterchef Pro comp ' last year and were really keen to sample some of the winner, Tom Hamblet 's, food. We travelled a 4 hour round trip for the experience. We don 't eat at fine dining restaurants often but we are foodies. Firstly, the setting of the restaurant is very lavish and comfortable with warm low lighting. That said, the dinner experience was a little too dark for my mother so that 's something to think about if you struggle with eyesight and low lighting. The service was friendly, attentive and speedy/efficient. The food: I 'll start with the dessert because that was a real pleasure for us. We both loved the flavours of Tom 's end of series winning dessert so the meal ended on a high (we ordered the Olive Oil sponge with lemon curd). I recommend not ruining your palette with the overly sweet petit four that are placed in front of you following dessert unfortunately ours were more sugar flavoured than any other identifiable flavour. Our starters and mains were very VERY underwhelming. They arrived looking beautiful, neat and tidy but failed to deliver on taste. I had wanted the celeriac themed starter but the waiting staff told me the vegan/veggie starters and mains were created by their head chef and not Tom. That was disappointing as his 3 month residency was the reason we 'd visited the restaurant. We ended up both having the lobster starters after the waiting staff recommended it highly as either a starter or an additional dish to share. The claw meat was minimal and tough and the foam mousse took centre stage on the plate. Whilst the plate had lots of textures to it, we felt it was unbalanced and generally with no 'wow ' to it. We enjoyed the coffee and rye bread with butter and pollen/fennel that came prior to this thought. I ordered the Guinea Fowl as a main after the waiter described it as a gamey, dark and tender meat. I feel like a better description to someone that hasn 't had guinea fowl before would be 'it 's like a chicken breast with a different flavour '. This is what arrived in front of me and I actually found it was quite dry and not dark at all! I would never have ordered anything that resembled chicken breast anyway so I felt ill informed about my choice. I also thought the girolles were overwhelmingly tart. I didn 't enjoy my main. Mum 's Hogget was nice but average for her too. Last comment I 've never in my life paid £6.50 for less than 1.5ltrs mineral water beware! I don 't care how much money you have it 's water!!!"

"Service: 11/10 Starter: Calamari Duck Parfait - 10/10 Main Course 1: 50-Day Aged Fillet Mignon with Bordelaise Sauce (cooked *Blue*) - 100/10 Main Course 2: Fish and Chips - 9/10 Dessert: Hot Brownie - Over 9000! I want to extend my thanks to the front-of-house team for their warm welcome. Although we arrived a bit late, they were incredibly accommodating. Special thanks to Irvana (I hope I spelled that correctly) for providing excellent service! My steak experience took me on a nostalgic journey—like Anton Ego savoring his ratatouille in Gusto’s restaurant. It reminded me of a family meal in Holland during my childhood, where I had my first real steak. This may have even surpassed that memory! I was initially hesitant about dining at Miller and Carter since it's a chain restaurant, but if you're feeling the same way, let me assure you: don't be. While it may not be the cheapest option, it definitely deserves a smart-casual dress code that anyone who understands proper dining etiquette should respect. Curious, I browsed through other reviews, and I found it hard to believe anyone could leave a 1-star review without sounding like a “Karen.” It’s important to take reviews with a grain of salt—this is truly a fantastic restaurant! In summary, if you're a fan of steak, this place will take great care of you and provide excellent recommendations for how to enjoy your meal just the way you like it. Perfect!"
