"THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ: Takumi vs. Naniwa Takumi has better noodles. They are more firm, thicker and tastier. The broth is not bad, more on a saltier soy side. Naniwa wins with its broth. The noodles aren't great, too soft. But the soup has great miso flavor. What to order: If you like miso or you don't have a preference go with miso. If you are a healthy, clean eater and don't want it too busy go with shio the salt based ramen If you think miso isn't for you and shio sounds too boring. Than the soy based shoyu is perfect for you. Should I go for the fancier ramen: If you want Karaage, I'd order it separately. In a soup, they soaked the soup and lose their crunchiness. If you are debating between karaage or teriyaki go with Karaage if you like fried stuff and teriyaki if you like the chicken texture. Both are highly recommended. Takumi Takumi? If you don't ramen often you might not notice a difference but if you are picky about your ramen. The OG takumi is the clear winner. The rest are alright. Is it worth standing in line for? If you hate the line, go to a different takumi. If you are just for a visit and want the experience the best ramen, then you'd have to wait in line :"

I've been a takumi customer for years and not even cheated that I've been used to waiting for what I think is part of the ritual of eating.

came here on the basis of amazing reviews and honestly, eating was okay, but I'm not sure about all the hype as I had better raven and definitely a lot.

This was a disappointing dining experience to say the least. We waited in the cold for 1 hour for this. It is soooo not worth it!! Coming from San Francisco Bay Area, where good ramen is abundant, this place was super lackluster. The broth is bland and the noodles remind me of instant cup of noodle ramen. It might be good option for others that don't know any better!

Really had to make the 30 min? train ride to here because I have been so deprived of asian food in Paderborn/all of Europe. Came here with my friend and was quickly seated. It has been a while since my visit but I remember thoroughly enjoying my food and just so happy that there was a shop like this to satisfy my Asian food cravings in Europe. Ordered the ramen and the gyzoya both being good choices!

I tried the Special Miso Ramen at Takumi 1st in Dusseldorf recently. FI 'd give the overall experience 8.3/10: Soup: 9/10: Authentic/hearty Noodle: 8/10: Doesn 't grab onto the soup, a bit too tough/undercooked even after soaking still Meat: 7.5/10: Decently cooked, cut was okay Condiments: 7.8/10: Nice variety but not perfect balance Atmosphere: 8.5/10The restaurant felt like ones in Japan which was nice. Price: 8/10

Came here based on the amazing reviews and frankly, the food was okay, but I am not sure about all the hype as I've had better ramen and definitely much better Tokutsu Ramen! There were 6 if us and we waited close to 50mins to get a table. Thank god for the heaters they had to keep us warm, although I was frozen cold by the time we got in. The place is more geared towards 4 and under so our party sat at the bar, near the open kitchen, and it was good of them to try to accommodate us to sit together. I got the Tonkutsu Ramen mit Lauchzwiebein €12.80) and also tasted the Vegetarian Ramen and the Takayoki. While everything tasted decent, it wasn't anything super spectacular. Also the salt level...

We had gone almost 2 weeks without asian food during our Europe trip, so when we heard Dusseldorf had a decent Japanese influenced area, we decided to try out Takumi. There's seating available indoors and outdoors, but our whole group got seated outside. We were lucky to have only waited 10 or so minutes, and just needed to split into smaller groups. The menu is fairly straight forward, with your varying ramens depending on your favorite soup base, and accompaniments of extra toppings. We ended up getting the Ajitama Miso Ramen and Half Karaage Don to share amongst two people. It was just enough for myself and my fiance. The Miso was a bit subtle for my taste, and the ramen was thinner than...

After traveling around Switzerland for a week, it got to that point in the trip where we desperately needed Asian food. We were passing through Düsseldorf for half a day and saw they're known for their Japanese food, so we decided to check out Takumi! They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. AJITAMA TONKOTSU RAMEN: I'm a tonkotsu person and almost always order this over other types of ramen. Not sure if I was just so severely deprived of Asian food, but I felt Takumi's tonkotsu ramen ranked pretty high on my list! And coming from SoCal as well as having lived down the street from both major Japanese food hubs in Los Angeles, that's saying a lot! Good amount of pork, the noodles w...
