"I made a reservation through Opentable, but when we arrived, there was no record of it. They informed us that they don't work with Opentable. Fortunately, we didn’t have any trouble getting a table. All four of us ordered the three-meat meal, which was supposed to include beef, turkey, and pork. We received beef that was tough and filled with gristle (our dog enjoyed it when we got home), turkey, and gammon instead of pork. The meal was lukewarm, and the Yorkshire pudding was overcooked. The dessert was decent, especially the apple pie with custard served as a mini dessert alongside coffee. However, my friends ordered the Banoffee pie, and were disappointed by the very small portion they received."

I made a reservation through OpenTable, but when we arrived, they claimed they didn't work with OpenTable and had no record of our booking. Fortunately, we were able to get a table without any issues. All four of us ordered the three-meat dish that was advertised as containing brisket, turkey, and pork. Instead, we received brisket (which was tough and filled with gristle—my dog enjoyed it when we got home), turkey, and gammon. The meal was served lukewarm, and the Yorkshire pudding was overcooked. For dessert, we ordered the mini apple cake and custard with coffee, which was enjoyable. My friends had the banoffee pie, but the portion was quite small.

"I ate here last night with a friend and it was fantastic! The venue, the staff and food were all perfection. Agatha and Catherine looked after us very well. I was imressed by the service and the welcoming feel of the place. The food was spectacular! I had scallops with black pudding to start followed by lamb with a mash cake, vegetables and wedges with the most deliciously stunning jus. It was a busy night but we still had a very personalised service. I can't wait to eat here again!"

"Not the best experience . On arrival the restaurant was really cold . The waitress did not know about the free popadoms and pickle tray offer and had to go ask which left us quite embarrassed.. she returned saying they are doing it but only...allowed poppadom each . We were given the menu .. asked about thr early bird menu to which we were told they are not doing now .. yet it is still being advertised on the website ! Would have had a takeaway had we known with it being midweek. For the first mins there was terrible noise from above .. sounded like people were playing football and shouting . The onion bhajis were really dry. The curries we had were ok albeit one had lamb mixed with the chicken which shouldnt have been there. The peshwari nan was lovely. The handwipes were cold .. always hot everywhere else we eat . Only one member of staff there .. very pleasant girl .. ran off her feet .. answering the phone .. serving meals and drinks .. preparing bills . Felt sorry for her . Wont be back . Much better curry places and who honour what they advertise ."

"Food was overpriced and not great quality. I had the Sunday roast and ended up leaving the beef as it was off and tasted stale. I was offered another cut but turned that down, no offer of a refund. Drinks were OK as was the service, having said that the place was practically empty at lunchtime. When I read some of the glowing reviews for The Flappit I was expecting much better, I would avoid this place as there are better options available. Price per person: £10–20"

"A group of about 10 of us visit on Sunday occasionally. The service and food is generally good with an odd issue not worth mentioning however on our last visit the milk for the coffee had lumps in it and was off and a meal was missed off our order so arrived as the majority were finishing their meal. The barmaid was run off her feet and needed prompting for the coffee/tea but was apologetic throughout. The pub was quiet while we were there so our order shouldn't have posed a problem as had it been busy."

"We have recently held a 'celebration of life ' for my mother-in-law at the Busfeild. I can honestly say that it was perfect. Beth and the team made sure everything ran smoothly for us. The food was plentiful and of really good quality. The team were super friendly to the guests. The venue was clean, warm and a comforting size. As a family, we could not have wished for a better send off for her to share memories with friends and family. Thank you.x"
