"The food was tasty and portion sizes meant a starter and large main left us feeling pleasantly full however... I would unfortunately say that though the waiters were polite and good with providing drinks (using the service button on the table to get their attention), getting food was incredibly slow. We were a group of 10 and had booked a couple of weeks in advance we ordered starters and mains, but despite having a 7pm booking we didn't get mains until around 9pm. It was fine but noticeably slow with no mention of a wait when booking our table, or updates from staff on how long it'd be. It made matters worse as we saw other people turn up after we ordered, and still receive their starters and mains before we had ours. We'll likely go back, but definitely in smaller groups."

"I booked a table online for Monday afternoon and had a wonderful experience at this pub/restaurant. The front-of-house staff were fantastic—very attentive and friendly. They promptly took our drink orders without being overly pushy. Our food order was taken seamlessly, so we didn’t have to look around for anyone. The food arrived in a timely manner, and both dishes—the lamb shoulder with dauphinois potatoes and the steak and ale pie—were delicious and served hot. The waiting staff checked in with us twice to make sure everything was to our liking and to see if we needed more drinks. This is a large pub/restaurant that we've been visiting for several years, and they consistently get it right. Please keep up the great work; you’re doing an excellent job!"

"Wow! What a day, even the little bit of rain didn’t stop a wonderful day. From the first moment my husband and I came to look at this venue we knew it would be the perfect place to host our sons wedding reception. Ash was amazing! He was great in giving us plenty of options for menu, we had a lovely meal whilst discussing wedding reception arrangements, Ash was so accommodating, communication leading up to the event was smooth, whatever we needed was given. The staff were are so friendly, very hard working, On the day of the reception I couldn’t believe how amazing the decor looked, All our guests were very relaxed, they enjoyed the atmosphere and complemented the fab menu that we picked. The staff worked really hard on the day, one of my guests even had a food allergy and the staff we so careful and catered for her. This is the perfect place to have a wedding reception, we had a big bouncy castle on the green and plenty of parking for our guests. A massive thank you Ash for letting us have our sons wedding reception here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Please note the lunch menu is £13.50 and cocktails are £10.95 not as shown on website. We just took 11 ladies, for lunch and it made a big difference to our bill. I did speak to the manager but tbh he didn't seem to care. A gesture from him would of made a big difference to us maybe choosing to lunch there again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40"
