The Bluebell Tea Room

What a lovely place. Christine, the owner and Jo in the kitchen are always welcoming . Gemma wasn't in today. She is lovely too. The food is top class. They have loads of regular customers. Please support this wonderful tea room.

After trying other places in Swad I tried the Bluebell tea room, It was the best food and service I’ve experienced. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and the owner Christine made us feel so welcome. will defiantly be going back to try some of those delicious cakes!

I recently revisited this tearooms and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There was also a tea party going on at the same time, and the afternoon teas looked amazing. Visualizza piatti

Lovely little tea room in the centre of Swadlincote. Very happy to find they did gluten free options including cakes and crumpets and had a separate toaster for gluten free crumpets etc so suitable for coeliacs. Food was delicious and our waitress was very helpful and friendly. There was a group enjoying and Afternoon Tea which looked delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit.

This restaurant has a quaint atmosphere. However, I was surprised to see plastic tablecloths and fake flowers during the springtime. The service was too casual for my liking. The restaurant was very quiet. The teacakes were a bit dry, but the coffee was decent. It is not a place you would stumble upon easily, as it is not located on the main street and there are no signs pointing to it.

I took my Mum here to celebrate her birthday with my family. We had an afternoon tea which was delicious! The perfect little place to relax and chat with family. Their friendly staff made it an even more enjoyable experience with their attentiveness. I have even been back on my own for tea and cake which I’ve never done anywhere else before. Me and 11 of my friends visited the Bluebell Tearoom this afternoon, Christine and her team went above and beyond for us! We had various dietary requirements and she catered for us all perfectly. The gluten free scones had a particular rave review from the 3 friends who had them. The food was delicious, we all had a crema tea for 1 which had sandwiches and scones. We were given as much tea and coffee and the sandwiches were tasty and the scones light and fluffy. We even got extra jam and cream! Thankyou to the Bluebell team for a fantastic time, I look forward to coming again.

Popped in for a quick bit of lunch and drink, we had the egg mayo sandwich which was packed from front to back, seasoned well and bread was lovely and soft. Side salad was lovely and fresh. We also had the hunters chicken panini which was very nice, they were also very accommodating as we asked for no cheese. When it came you couldn’t possibly fit any more chicken in there, and it was cooked well. Drinks were standard bottled drinks, staff were very friendly and it was clean. We weren’t intending to stay for cake as well, however it did look extremely nice so we had the lemon cake and passion fruit cake, the staff did tell us if we couldn’t eat it all they’d give us a box to take away. I decided to stop by this cute lil place for lunch after hearing about it on social media,and I was so pleased with my experience. Places like the Bluebell Tearoom are so hard to find nowadays.It reminded me of those little family run cafes I used to visit with my dad when I was younger and it really made me feel like a kid again.All home made food,plastic table matts and cute little decorations the kind of place that makes you feel right at home.And it was all accompanied with the friendliest service i've experienced in a long time.
