Wow. The food was excellent. Best meal my wife and I have had for a long time. Pork loin was to die for. Good service. Very friendly staff.

Such a lovely venue by the water. Food was beautiful thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The occasional blast of cold air when one of the doors were opened and on occasion left open by patrons was slightly off putting but the overall dining experience was really good

we were recommended this restaurant by our rental cottage in Winterton. The location is stunning. Staff very welcoming. Food was amazing. Sadly too full to go for a walk after so would recommend if walking do it before. I had the slate which was beautiful. Husband and sister in law had lamb shank which was really tender. Highly recommend

Amazing setting and even more amazing food. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Restaurant was extremely well set out, clean and the seats were comfortable. The food was served hot and fresh and everyone enjoyed their meals. Quality of food was excellent and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good nutritious meal. Will definitely return when we are next in the area.

The Boathouse is a beautiful restaurant to eat in lovely surroundings. The moment you walk in staff are happy to greet you . It was full capacity on Sunday afternoon. The staff are so attentive and polite . The Sunday roast was delicious and plenty of selection for a roast on the plate and a good price too , plenty of choice for the menu to choose from . Highly recommend the boathouse definitely will become a regular there . Well done to all the staff couldn’t do enough for you

We hadn't been here for many years it was the Eel's Foot then! The very friendly staff made us feel very welcome, and the interior is well done and spacious. However, whilst the food was very good, the service was a little slow, but I am guessing it was due to a wedding in the function room, another large table, and being busier than perhaps they expected. The food was worth the wait and the staff were good, so it was only the wait before taking orders and delivery that let it down, but only slightly as everything else made up for it.

It’s been a few months since my last review and let me tell you it’s just got better! The last couple of weeks we have gone for Sunday dinner, it just gets better every time we have one. The first thing I try is always the roast potatoes- my god the crunch was just the best! I like that there is other things on the menu too on a Sunday, so the children could have something else. Thank you Mike once again for fitting us In at last minute and always looking after us, also a very big thank you to Donna for looking after us yesterday nothing is ever to much trouble! I’m sure we will be back soon.

Four of us have just enjoyed a two night break here, courtesy of a Travelzoo deal. What can I say? So very friendly and such a beautiful setting. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and found the place packed, I soon found out why. We stayed in rooms two and four, both were beautiful. Our first evening was spent in the restaurant which is where we found out why the place was heaving. The Sunday roasts were plate fulls which tasted lovely. The sea bass was superb. After dinner we asked if they had a couple of chairs we could take to the room so we could play cards, the answer was, the suite is free, feel free to use that. Fantastic customer service. We had a lovely experience and would 100% come back again You often find that big events, like mother’s day, can be a bit chaotic and not always in the most of relaxing atmospheres. This was a very different positive experience. This was felt immediately on arrival. As soon as we arrived , we were greeted in the car park and shown a suitable car park slot very organised. We were greeted by the owner, Mike and shown to our seat. Quickly followed by a friendly waitress to take out drinks orders and showed a genuine interest in the family. We were given plenty of time to look through the menu but once we had chosen, we really didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive . Portions were great...
