"The impressive driveway leads to a stunning Georgian mansion that will definitely leave a lasting impression. Don't be deceived by the car park, as the best is yet to come! The mansion, built in 1722, is surrounded by 312 acres of picturesque parkland with lakes, situated on the River Uck. There is also a charming 13th century church, St Margaret the Queen, and a local cricket club on the grounds. Inside the church, you will find beautiful stained glass windows to admire. The rooms may not all be as spacious as expected, but they are airy and comfortable, some even with balconies. The suites, as seen in the brochure, are luxurious and spacious. Regardless of the room size, the grand staircases will make you feel like royalty. The staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The Orangery and Fine Dining Room offer excellent food, amazing wines, and delectable desserts. Breakfast is buffet-style with a good selection to suit every taste. Guests can also enjoy the small gym, sauna, and spa. The ambiance of a bygone era, leisurely walks, delicious food, and gorgeous surroundings create a special experience. Whether you are looking for a dining experience, afternoon tea, short break, or wedding venue, this is the perfect place. The mansion is also conveniently located near other local attractions. Keep an eye out for special offers to make your stay even more enjoyable. The menu wines are reasonably priced, but be prepared for slightly expensive cocktails and bar drinks."

Nice pub. Quirky and unusual snug interior. Good pint.

One of those pubs that I suspect was a complete dump back in the day. Its obviously had a renovation and is a really decent looking pub/restaurant.

Bed, breakfast and evening meal 2 out of 3 ain't bad Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was small but well planned and had everything we needed. Sadly, the mattress was well past its best. I could feel the springs through the mattress topper giving a very poor night's sleep. It needs changing. This small change would make a huge difference.

great local pub. we both loved the curry, an extra pot of sauce with chips means they don't need the starter. the service was a little slow, but there were a few problems and was a little busy! the personal did it well treated and was very appealing, well played. the tortellini felt fresh and the salmon started fresh again and tastefully, also wein impressive. a little limited in some wise, but for £50 a head with a glass sparkle and a total of 5 beer would visit again.

Buxted Park is a beautiful country house hotel property in lovely countryside in East Sussex. It is very good for a weekend away. We booked one of the Classic rooms, however they were slightly on the small side. The interior was very nice, and the grounds were magnificent really good for a long walk in the country. One of the highlights of the stay was our dinner. We were not accommodated in the main restaurant, but in the Orangerie, which was a beautiful setting. The food was what you would expect from a property of this standard and the service was first class. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic break Visualizza piatti

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding last Saturday and it was absolutely incredible. The hotel is luxurious and welcoming, situated in 312 acres of beautiful grounds in Ashdown Forest. The food served at both the wedding reception and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious romantic escape or for those who enjoy picnicking and exploring the grounds to unwind from the daily hustle and bustle. For brides-to-be searching for the perfect venue to impress their guests, this is definitely the place to choose. Everything about this hotel would make your special day absolutely perfect.

My husband and I attended a wedding reception at Buxted Park and decided to stay overnight. The experience was absolutely fantastic! The ceremony took place in the Coat of Arms room, which offered a beautiful view of the north lawn. It was a civil marriage conducted with great dignity, followed by plenty of Champagne to celebrate. The three-course meal that followed was outstanding, with all the trimmings. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Our room was exceptional, featuring a large and comfortable double bed with plenty of pillows. The view of the garden from our room was also lovely. The bathroom was well-equipped and impeccably clean, with plenty of fluffy whit...

"Absolutely disappointed beyond belief. Why even bother opening and advertising that they do food? We really should have walked straight back out the door upon entering. But we had read reviews and really wanted to try this place. The staff were disinterested. Pointed to a table where we were to sit for our evening meal. We were given what can only be described as filthy sticky pieces of paper that were supposed to represent a menu. The table was dirty and sticky with drink stains. Nevertheless we proceeded to order 3 main meals. Over an hour later we still had no food and not once did anyone come over to the table to explain why. The place was by no means busy. There were 4 tables with customers! After approximately an hour and 10 minutes we asked if there was a time that we could expect our food to be ready. Bearing in mind our order was for baby back ribs, a steak burger and a chicken skewer. So not overly complicated. We were told that there was only 1 chef working!. And that the manageress would go and check for us. She returned to say that food would be ready in 5 minutes. Approximately 10 minutes later the baby ribs and steak burger arrived. We had to wait a further 5 minutes for the chicken skewer meal. When it did arrive the chicken was cold and absolutely cremated. So much so that the chicken itself had started to disintegrate and a powder of charcoal remains were on the plate. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Our entire party left all the food and we went to the bar to pay and left. Disgusted, disappointed, disillusioned and would NEVER RETURN"

"Popped in here yesterday after a long drive home from up north. Pub was fairly busy. I went around the side of the bar by the hatch so I could see what was in the fridge. I waited patiently and was largely preoccupied by their...adorable springer spaniel. A lady then came over to help me a senior looking member of the team (in her 50s). As she did so, she acknowledged a couple on the main face of the bar (who turned up well after me) saying i'll be with you in a minute I asked her about what beers they had and wanted help picking something nice and non-alcoholic for my pregnant wife. We VERY briefly talked through options and again, whilst doing so she acknowledged the couple at the bar saying sorry, I won't be a minute Now I thought I'd decided on a drink for my wife, but the barmaid said sorry, I'm a bit confused by what you're after Rather baffled, I said a drink and possibly to grab some food we're sat outside She abruptly poured the first drink as if id put her out. I went round to the main bar to check the beer pumps and what they had on (not alot) and when I asked she replied well yes, just Peroni in the fridge and what you see here as if it were obvious or that I was being thick. Then for a THIRD time apologised to the couple now stood next to me. It was at this point I'd had enough, so I said sorry, am I not welcome here or something, should I not be ordering a drink? You don't seem to want to want my custom and you keep apologising to this couple as if they are for some reason more important You are being rude Now instead of apologising, saying they were extremely busy or explaining perhaps Id been stood in the wrong place she just said no i wasnt, no i wasn't So still ZERO effort or ounce of hospitality towards me. My final response was to say Dont worry about the drink- may I suggest that you get yourself some manners and additional staff I headed out the door, apologising to those nearby as to show the lady an example of basic etiquette 2 locals then had the audacity to try and defend her! Such a shame, such a bad experience! I feel i was victimised for being a middle aged male, had my pregnant wife been at the bar i can't imagine them treating her that way. Also I am affiliated with the maintenance of Plashetts Park which is opposite the pub, had said to my partner that it would be nice to meet her and bubba there for dinner tea on a regular basis once I'd finished duties. I now have zero intention of going or confidence that I'd be welcomed. Very disappointed and disheartened"
