"fantastic 3 nights in the harbour view apartment adjacent to the duke of richmond hotel. the apartment was fantastic: even with its own entrance door from the street, it included the floor and the first floor of a converted city house (there is also garden apartment underneath). two large and comfortable bedrooms with large en suite bathroom upstairs, and a good living room, separate dining room, well equipped kitchen and garderobe wc in the ground floor. it looks recently renovated, I would say in the last 2 years, beautifully designed and well finished. perfect space and facilities for a family of 4 or two pairs. the hotel itself has been closed for renovation so that we do not use any of the facilities, or see much when it was over the lobby and reception, but it looked very beautiful. because the hotel was closed, we were offered a self-catering that was very reasonable. I would say that the normal rate (which includes breakfast, canapes, twice daily housekeeping etc) would also be fair. service was fantastic recipe and reservations personal were most helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. the location is good a short walk downhill through candie gardens to the main shopping restaurant. we were able to use one of the 5 parking places of the hotel all the time we were, what was great, but I could imagine that parking a bit a challenge in the summer."

amazing hotel, incredible location, great location, recipe staff are excellent. Bar employees need a little more training, all love people, but not much presentation about drinks. highly recommended.

This is a wonderful place for afternoon tea. We were lucky enough to get a seat outside, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was abundant and they were happy to bring extra items if needed. The staff were attentive and friendly, I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely afternoon tea experience.

Came here for a wedding which was superbly organised. Great venue with a wonderful suntrap outside terrace. The rooms were extremely well equipped all be it small if you have the classic double. Slow breakfast service and lack of staff was a small issue, however that seems to be everywhere at the moment, so not really the fault of the hotel. Overall I was very pleased.

We made a reservation at this restaurant based on other reviews, but upon arrival, they had no record of our booking. Despite the lack of customers, we decided to stay. The restaurant offered a set 3-course menu for £45 or a limited a la carte menu. We found the dishes on the a la carte menu unappealing and opted for the set menu instead. The scallops with tomato salsa and lemon oil lacked flavor and the salsa was strange and bitter. The rack of lamb was undercooked and the vegetables were also not cooked to our liking. However, the desserts were enjoyable, especially the chocolate sphere with a rich sauce and honeycomb. Overall, the experience was disappointing in terms of both food quality... Visualizza piatti

We made a reservation at this restaurant based on other reviews. When we arrived, they had no record of our booking that had been confirmed the day before. However, the service was subpar. We were given the option of a set 3-course menu for £45 or a limited selection from the a la carte menu. We opted for the set menu as the dishes on the a la carte menu did not appeal to us. I started with the scallops with tomato salsa and lemon oil, which lacked flavor and the tomato sauce was odd-tasting. The lamb dish was supposed to be served pink but was overcooked. The vegetables, including the carrots, were bland. The desserts were enjoyable, particularly the chocolate ball with a rich sauce and hon...

We booked this restaurant with other reviews. Upon arrival, they had no idea of our booking that had been confirmed earlier this day, but no matter where the place was barely more custom. There's a reason I suspect. We were offered a selection of a set 3 course menu at £45 or the a la carte that had a limited selection of dishes, these were not overpriced, but did not appeal so that we feathered for the set menu. I started with the scallops served with tomatoes salsa and lemon oil. It lacked taste and the tomato sauce was just strange. Very bitter tasting and has not improved the court at all. Next was the lamb frame. Three pieces to be served pink. Unfortunately, this was also well understa...

"Every aspect of the evening was perfect! This is by far the best dining experience in guernsey I have ever had. The venue is beautiful and all the details were taken into consideration. The staff are very attentive as we were immediately seated with menus and water. At the sushi bar we were served by the chef who was extremely helpful in suggesting some amazing sushi dishes. To start we had the tempura crab and calamari, the presentation was beautiful and it tasted delicious. We went on to try the dragon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, unagi nigiri and some sashimi. Both a long time sushi fan and stranger to the cuisine were impressed! We finished with a banoffee pie and chocolate tart for dessert. Both could melt in your mouth! I couldn't believe the banoffee pie was gluten and dairy free! I can't forget to mention the incredible bartender who made me some incredible cocktails. She was also very attentive, interacting with us with her trips to and from the bar, which just added the the already fun welcoming experience. I have to say that it is on the more expensive side but worth it 100 times over. Far better than anything else in Guernsey at the same price. In fact it was more than worth the money because between my friend and I we tipped 25%! For anyone who wants an amazing dining experience in Guernsey, whether you're a local or just visiting, go no further than The Hook!"
