"We have dined at this restaurant several times over the past few years and have always had a positive experience. However, it seems that the restaurant has recently changed ownership and the new management lacks the necessary skills to run a restaurant effectively. We had difficulty booking a table over the phone as no one answered despite numerous attempts. The online booking system was also not functioning properly, so we decided to walk in. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy and the only waitress on duty seemed confused that we had come for dinner on a Saturday night. We had to wait for a table to be prepared as the tables and chairs were stacked in a corner, making the place look messy. The complimentary bottle of water provided had a strange taste, possibly tap water instead of filtered. The menus were dirty and sticky, not a great first impression. We ordered drinks but waited a long time for them to arrive, and no food was being served to other patrons who also seemed unhappy. Ultimately, we decided to leave without ordering food and went to another restaurant nearby. The other couple who arrived after us also left due to the poor service. The waitress seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed, and the overall experience was disappointing. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner."

I personally prefer having a physical menu instead of using table QR codes because I believe people should not be on their phones too much, but rather socialize. However, the food was uniquely delicious, especially the lobster.

The food was delicious! I should have requested my curry to be a bit spicier, but I finished everything on my plate and in my bowl. I was unsure if the restaurant was open since there were no other customers, but the staff promptly attended to me. I would recommend this place for a satisfying meal in a timely manner. We had a disappointing experience at The Elephant on a Friday night. We were the only customers in the restaurant and had to ask for the music to be turned on because it was so quiet. The waiter, who was also the chef for the night, took our order for drinks and food. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive, despite us asking multiple times about its status.
