"Service was faultless and staff were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. Lovely attractive clean restaurant. However food was really ordinary the bread tasted like a toasted sliced loaf and the meats were poor quality. Vegetarian dish was fine but totally unremarkable. We dined on a 50% discount offer but had we paid full price would have felt really hard done by."

This is the restaurant at the Apex hotel just south-east of the junction of London Wall and Moorgate. Always open, always pleasant, rarely crowded. Good food, friendly efficient service, perfect for a quite meal away from the crowds.
