"Vegetarian sandwiches provided consisted of cucumber bread and cheese tomato, very unimaginative. The sandwiches had been exposed to the air for sometime as they were dry and hard. We were given berries with mould on them. Upon arrival we were ignored at the restaurant reception before finally being shown to a table in the bar. Since we'd booked a table in the restaurant this was not ideal. The consequence of being put in the bar want we had no table service at all, our drinks were not refilled, our plates were not cleared. At any point that we needed assistance we had to go and find a member of staff, for someone with limited mobility this is challenging. To top if off we were then charged a non negotiable service charge for receiving no service"

We went to visit the Larder Restaurant in the Hilton on a Thursday evening in February. Although our expectations were not very high from a hotel restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as we arrived, we were assisted in a proper way and this was done throughout the dinner. I asked for some changes with my main course which was done promptly. Loved the complimentary canapes as well that were brought out. I had the duck breast, my wife the rump of lamb, both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. We'll be back soon

From the moment we arrived, we received excellent service throughout the evening. My request for modifications to my main course was promptly accommodated. We especially enjoyed the complimentary canapes that were served. I had the duck breast and my wife had the rump of lamb, both dishes were cooked to perfection and delicious. We definitely plan on returning soon!
