Politely asked can we order, after a modest 10/15 minute wait; waitress replied without eye contact ‘yeah yeah’! Not inspiring and neither was my espresso; watery and very weak after second effort.

on Monday afternoon. geniuses tee, scones and millionaire shortbread. all delicious with a clean, fresh, pleasant environment. we had a baby in our group and the teehouse was very accommodating. highly recommended.

cracking place for a wonderful cuppa. I had English breakfast and my sister and my husband had darjeeling. a few slices of bakewell tart stopped us on the run. the ceilings on the chairs are a beautiful note for the cold weather. highly recommended.

Recommended by various friends as excellent. We were meet with a warm welcome. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely and the surrounding modern and bright. The food was fantastic. A wonderful treat of the Lobster platter. We will definitely go again

Very underwhelmed and disappointed after reading all the great reviews i thought this would be a special venue for a reunion with friends. Uncomfortable seating. Greasy fried samphire drowning in fat. My plaice main very poor for the price. 4 or 5 scraps pf kale with potatoes. Pudding and coffee was v tasty. Not worth the price.

This is usually our favourite restaurant we go here a lot and have never had a bad meal. Decided to go on a Sunday this time, wasn’t the normal menu and unfortunately our food came out luke warm and was really uninspiring. The best part was the panacotta. Service was slow too. Such a shame. Will still come back but wouldn’t return again on a Sunday.

I dropped in unexpectedly at 5:30 on a Wednesday and was warmly welcomed. It had been a while since I last visited, but everything was still excellent, so I was very satisfied. The £15 all-you-can-eat mussels promotion was fantastic and a wonderful option for midweek dining. I also enjoyed the tempura samphire starter, but I would recommend avoiding it if your main course is also fried. We definitely plan on returning.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was top-notch - the staff were humorous, skilled, and prompt. The bar was great, with excellent champagne, wine, and cocktails. And the food was out of this world - we were so impressed that we couldn't stop talking about it. Each dish was carefully crafted and brought us so much joy. We can't wait to come back. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic evening.

Hardly unlimited!! Advertised as ‘every Wednesday unlimited mussels for £15’. Arrived at 7:30pm all of us ordered the mussels, 40-50% of them were empty shells. No problem we thought, as we can just order more. Each portion comes with chips between 2 and bread between 2. We ordered 3 bottles of wine and planned to be there all evening as it was a birthday meal. 6 of 7 of us asked for a second portion of mussels. The second portion was tiny, a cereal bowl full. Half empty shells again. One person did not eat chips nor bread so wanted more mussels. At 9:30 we were told ‘the kitchen is now closed for hot food’. At 9:30????
