"We have visited The Nook a few times and we were not disappointed this time. We don 't usually mark Father 's Day but I booked to treat my husband last Sunday. I chose The Nook because I thought it might be relatively child-free! I was probably rather optimistic and a very large party arrived with several young children in tow but we were almost finished by then so didn 't bother us unduly. We don 't dislike children (have several grandchildren) but the setting in the Nook is not the most child-friendly eatery. I only say that because some restaurants particularly cater with play areas etc. The meal was excellent given the day and the fullness of the place, which was good to see. I thought it was very well priced too. Our roast beef was absolutely delicious. I only marked it down a little on 'star ' rating because it is lovely to catch the restaurant at a less busy time. We will return."

Another great night with excellent food. This was a second visit and definitely the standard was maintained. Will certainly return again and would recommend to anyone.

We drove 70 miles for lunch. This is our second visit and it was just as good as the first visit last year. The portions are a little large for me but the quality of the food was excellent.

delicious and beautifully presented dishes. very attentive waiting staff. beautiful quiet remote landlage. overall was a fantastic discovery and highly recommended. hopefully on the way to something special and award-winning.

Absolutely delicious starter and main course. The panacotta dessert was over set and not as good. The restaurant was very quiet too so lacked a little atmosphere. But overall a lovely evening out and I would definitely go again

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it will certainly not be the last time! The food was carefully and professionally prepared, and if you are prepared to pay just a few extra pounds for a very nice meal, this is the place to go in this area, no other restaurant nearby serves food of this quality.
