Stopped here for excellent coffee and cake. Delicious food and drink with friendly and attentive service

A pleasant surprise in the village of painswick, dogs were made very welcome, we only had drinks but it was nice, if not a little chaotic.

We tried a slice of Victoria cake and some coffees. They were great and very reasonably priced. I’d recommend for a snack or light lunch while in a Painswick. Visualizza piatti

I popped in for afternoon tea, after visiting the Art Burst. Was served a moist and tasty cake (polenta and orange? and Earl Grey tea in a vintage teapot. Lovely!

I thoroughly enjoyed a morning tea of Victoria sponge with a pot of English Breakfast along with very efficient, friendly service by Alistair. A delightful coffee house in a beautiful village.

Stopped in for a cappuccino and a cafe americano and a cake too. They had a delicious gluten free cake that the server recommended. Being gluten free, how could I pass it up? It was excellent. I even had almond milk in my cappuccino! Visualizza piatti

Visited the cafe on 29th September and felt welcome straight away. Our pooch Lola is quite an excitable one and was allowed off the lead in the cafe to play with ”Toffee” the resident pooch! The service was quick and the gluten free cake was delicious. The owner is lovely and spent time with us talking about the local area and where best to visit so much so we are coming back in November!! See you then! Lola dog and her family x

Warm welcome, great first cup of coffee. But as the cafe filled up the wheels came off. My friend and I ordered a second coffee. After a 20 minute wait, and long after people arriving after we had made our order were served, we politely enquired if we’d slipped off the list. The response was that we’d already had a drink so we’d already received a favour. Needless to say we cancelled the outstanding order, paid our bill and made a hasty retreat. Life is too short to bear the brunt of a stressed out barista....

I feel for small independent places like this in Covid 19 times. It's just a small store, and spacing tables would probably be harmful to the business. As it seems, there is the same number of tables, but the owner has added gel to the hands. When we got here, I wasn't too busy, but they didn't have anywhere inside that could sit us 4 and a dog. They have a small square of garden in the back where we sit. We're so glad that the store started filling up pretty fast. The owner was charming and friendly and talkative. They also serve great coffee. However, it was not a safe place to be in with Covid 19. Definitely without social distance.I was trying to get back from the bathroom and couldn't g... Visualizza piatti
