Pelican Inn - Piatti

Staying with family locally so ate here as recommended. Enjoyed salmon fillet and sea bass and we were overjoyed to see one of our favourites Doom Bar bitter on offer. Food and drink great and although pub is situated on the busy A4 the traffic noise was unobtrusive

The hosts at Pelican, including Jessie, Joe, Megan, Aya, and Olivia, were fantastic and friendly! Our party of 6 had a wonderful meal, and the team went above and beyond to cater to our vegan dietary restrictions with no trouble at all. The pies were seriously delicious. Jessie and Joe were especially outstanding - they deserve a raise!

nice to lunch. was simply renovated. the attentive staff. had a great plower lunch. efficient fast employees. they only grasp why this place always call them “ rifles” at each point. it has with a passion. his stupid company. we would stop again if we. it was nice to use the old a4 road and find good food instead of hurting the m4 with plastic sandwiches. On spec visit for Sunday Roast and it was magnificent. A choice of Lamb, yes Lamb, Pork or Beef. The gravy is amazing. The leg of lamb meat came stacked and there was minimal fat. The accompanying roast potatoes, Greens, parsnips, carrot and swede mash added to a great experience. I’ve visited here several times and the chef and staff, never disappoint. Call in if your passing through.

I have visited this restaurant before and although it has an extensive menu, my experience on Monday, November 6th was disappointing. Many items were not available, including pies, sausage, and ham, which was embarrassing. The staff was good, but there was no sign of any management. The website is misleading as there is no lunch and drink for £11 as advertised. Prices are not shown, only calories. Be cautious when visiting as many items on the menu may be unavailable.

Very disappointing, we booked for an early dinner, to be then told after ordering drinks that 4+ items on the main menu were not available and two starters (from 4) . Also the chicken ham hock pie was extremely over cooked to the point you nearly needed a chisel to get into it. Service was slow and food was poor. After passing this pub on the A4 at Froxfield and seeing how gorgeous it looked all lit up at night me and my wife decided we had to give it a try and I have to say I'm so glad we did all the staff...were friendly and helpful and the pub itself is such a charming place to just have a drink and relax but the food omg the food, absolutely amazing I can highly recommend the venison loin and white chocolate creme brulee', my wife had the fish and chips or should that be whale and chips I really do not know what else to say other than if you haven't been here lately or have had a bad experience, well its under new management and I suggest you visit you will NOT be disappointed.

someone has a fortune spent that this place really look good in, and then splashed £1.27 on eating right and £0.05 on the training staff. everything comes directly from the freezer, through the microshaft to the table, provided the personal can find. they and can see what they serve. the payment of the bill is a attack course; the personal does not seem to have discovered how credit cards work and the machine cannot work properly. they will require a tipp in cash, but they will not earn! if they want to see how a restaurant should not work, this is a wonderful example! we arranged a goodthe shave event in the pelican as it is our local, and it has come so far from where it was earlier. we had a mix of friends and family who participated in the event. some were local and some had traveled from yorkshire. at the event that I contacted with kerri, who was very accommodating and very flexible with our requests. we wanted a part of the pub to do this shave and also wanted about 18 people to sit together at the same time. To facilitate this process, we were asked to preorder what we have fully understood as it was a Saturday night. nothing was too much annoyed, they even have our macmillan balloons and bung (danke Scarlett...x) the eating and the service was on...
