Waiting time excessive, food and hour wait, staff seemed very short, tried doing the drinks in your original glass instead of a clean glass. Very expensive menu which goes with Mitchell and butlers inns, disappointed with first visit.

The food is excellent but omg when restaurant is busy the wait is ridiculous. We waited over 3 hours for our food on Father’s Day. Avoid if there are more than 4 of you or if there is an occasion. I went there for Father’s Day yesterday I booked a table for 2.15pm our table was not ready for us had to wait 10 mins for it, not good service only had starters in two hours 5 mins and waitress could not give us a time when we was getting our mains. So we got up and left. This not the first time we have had a bad experience with them would never return to this place.

Only went for a drink. They have a lovely outside section too sit and have a drink, especially on a sunny day. If I am honest use to go there with my partner to eat. Two bad experiences and we haven't been back for food in a long while and they used to do a sharing platter that we used to love but they stopped. Things may be much better with the food and like most things it is subjective. What is bad for one person might be good for someone else. Just my thoughts Staff though are great

Came here on Saturday for the first time with a reservation for four. Ambience was nice, a typical English pub really. Unfortunately we waited for nearly 15 minutes to be seated as there were only two front of house workers, both very busy taking orders and making teas and coffee, for a busy Saturday afternoon two front of house workers did not seem enough. The food took over an hour to arrive, which is very poor. The fish and chips initially came out without tartare sauce and we had to ask. All of this somewhat redeemed by the food being very good.
