"We are frequent visitors and have always had a good experience before.However this time the service was awful-very slow to take our order-had two starters between 6 that took 3/4 hr.Then had been there an hour and a quarter before we got our main courses having complained politely twice.finally had to ask again to order desserts.Manager was very defensive and did not apologise.Such a shame as have always enjoyed it there."

Once again, a lovely meal, in very nice surroundings and good service. This is one of our favourites and will definitely be back. It had a lovely Christmassy feel and the food was very nice and good value.

we come here very often and the food and the service is always impeccable. I highly recommend this place. we were served by several employees, but re-entry jamie was excellent and the food options are sublime

I have eaten at The Royal Oak several times before, but I was a bit let down during my most recent visit. The service was not as good as usual and the steak was a little tough. Despite this, I still plan on returning in the future.

It was great to return to a place that feels like our "home away from home!" The same friendly staff were working during our visit, which made our meal even more enjoyable. Thank you, ladies. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was charming. Thank you.
