"I myself, partner and her mother had dinner on Sunday night. starter took about 45 minutes to come, although only we and table were waiting for us to eat. waiting personal are nice enough, but they always have to drink after more etc. ask the room was freezing as if the heating was broken. the prices are reasonable, but the bill was wrong about £6, as deal did not apply, decided, instead of challenge, we would make it as pointed. Eating is actually decent, but the lack of attention, time it needs and the need to keep her coat on while eating it let her down."

the menus are not extensive and sensible. certainly a good option before we go down to the comedy club where we have been on a series of deposits.

Although it was still a quarter to nine they said it was not possible to serve dinner anymore. Outside the menu reported dinner is served until 9 pm.

Had an evening meal and drink here while staying at the hotel across the road. The service was quick and friendly, the food and the beer were both fine.

we were both for lunch and dinner and never disappointed. when they eat here at an evening, they will sit for the show that takes the stress out of an evening, they will ensure a good fit.

Good choice especially for a vegetarian. Not too busy for a Friday lunchtime which meant food was served speedily and staff were very pleasant. Visited with 3 girlfriends and everyone was happy with their selection. Will return, so my husband can try the menu. Good...value for money.

My son book this for Mother’s Day Sunday lunch. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I had tempura prawns to start with which were massive and really tasty. Then I had perfectly cooked beef with delicious potatoes and gravy and a great...big Yorkshire pudding. Excellent value for money and the service was spot on. Great little place. Visualizza piatti

Great food- book a table though as the number of covers are small. They also reserve you great seats in the comedy club do you don’t have to rush. At the intervals get your alcohol from the bar in the restaurant to avoid the queues...downstairs. We saw 5 great acts - something for everyone and national names in an intimate venue. Would definitely recommend the Saturday nights there Have heard they do a great Sunday lunch

newcastle is a great city, but can be difficult to find a chilled, non-series option for good eating in the city center. the robe is a great option that buys between the bigg market and the theatre royal on the grey street, which serves dine in the local style. it is not a vegetarian, but both veggie and meat based chilikonkarne were very good. decent beer on tap and personal are friendly. not visited the comedy club, but a nice addition to the place.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
