"Bacon and egg bap was gross! Sent it back and second one was no better. Bacon was precooked and certainly not today and it smelt off, definitely on the turn! Chef/ cook said it was cooked earlier this morning, it was 10 am? certainly not cooked today,!! was all dried up and leathery also the colour gave it away! Would not recommend this cafe. As a local I have found with many cafe’s here in Minehead they rely solely on passing-through trade, but they need to get a reality check and try harder to achieve some semblance of quality. Very disappointing. Shall not return or recommend."

the turntable cafe is located directly behind the main platform at the minehead station next to the (surprise! good selection of cakes and savouries (a lot freshly prepared as ordered. very good value and all served with courtesy and loads of smile.

We thought we'd try the Turntable breakfast. Two sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, baked beans, slice of toast and mug of coffee or tea for £9. The bacon was thick and tasty, sausages cooked well and the eggs cooked to perfection with lovely orange yolks. Only suggestion, to make this better would be to have better bread, rather than cheap supermarket type bread and or include mushrooms/tomatoes. Clean and tidy with helpful staff, will call again
