"We had a lovely meal here while on holiday in the area. Our favourite of the three places we tried. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful, and the food delicious. The special roast pork was superb; my other half enjoyed his steak. We sat in the garden at the back, where the tables were well spaced. Felt very comfortable with all the measures"

"Disappointed Sunday lunch. Beef Ok vegetables raw and cold. The server left before we could ask for any sauces. We went to the bar to ask for the sauces and to order wine as no one had come to see if we needed more drinks. We were told someone would come to the table but the lady said it may be awhile as they were busy! Our meals were already at the table so providing the sauces should have been a priority as we should of been asked if we wanted any sauces when we were served our meals. I managed to catch a waitress to order the wine which arrived halfway through our main meal. During the meal we were asked if everything was OK and we told them about the vegetables. The reply was that I will tell the kitchen. A young lad cleared our plates and asked if everything was OK to which we replied about the cold and undercooked vegetable but it wasn’t his problem but thanked him for asking. At which point the other waitress that we spoke to earlier butted in and said she had informed the kitchen and we were the only table that had complained that day! Had she listened to the whole conversation she would of realised we were just replying to what the lad had asked. It would of been a lie if we had said everything was OK. From a marketing point of view you should be asking whether we would come back and it makes good sense to investigate why the kitchen sent out cold uncooked food. We did not receive an apology or explanation while we were there. We paid the bill in full and left very disappointed. We have had Sunday lunch here a couple of months ago with no complaints. We have been visiting this lovely pub for over 50 years it’s just a shame that the food and attitude of some of the staff did not live up to expectations."

"a break to the breakfast on Sunday morning. very busy with a running club sitting outside, so we drove inside. a bit confusing, they come in a small flur with unnoticed doors, one leads to toilets and clear and the other led into the bar area. we waited for a moment, but the employees were busy dealing with the running club so that we wandered into the bar area, uncertain whether to wait to sit or simply find a table that we asked for the latter. coffee was offered and we checked the menu. after a short while, our decisions were made and our coffee arrived. flat white and black coffee. we chose the brunchburger and avocado and eier. both very tasty. many seats outside and a decent parking lot above the street. quiet and friendly, no bad choice for brunch."
