"As the only non-meat eater in my family, we occasionally enjoy pub meals. I was pleasantly surprised when we dined at Toby Carvery and found multiple vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I opted for the Spiced Carrot and Chickpea Wellington with potatoes, vegetables, and vegetarian gravy from the carvery buffet. The meal was more satisfying than I expected, despite the small portion size. I was thrilled to see that all the vegan options were labeled as "NEW" on the menu, and that the staff at this common British pub were knowledgeable about veganism. I no longer dread family meals at Toby Carvery, as the food was delicious and satisfying. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and I left feeling very happy."

We are regular customers and feel that food quality was not as good as it was. The staff was not as congenial as usual. We expect the revitalized bank holiday to be a factor.

The taste of the food can't be faulted however it went cold very quickly and the end of the meal couldn't be eaten which is disappointing. The room temperature was cool which will have had a bearing on this

After 5 minutes we were told that it was 20 minutes because it was frozen. We had meaty, beautiful meat, but the cold veg spoiled meal. The dessert was good microwave, very hot. Serve food hot and unfrozen in a timely manner

As a single traveller this was great. The waitress who looked after me was lovely. Table service was prompt. Food was good but some veg 'dried up under lights. Two of us had to wait several minutes for horseradish with our lunch going cold as we waited. Place itself was friendly so all in all, I'd go again
