"We wanted a takeaway that could cater for veggie/vegan tastes, and we’re delighted to find that Uncle Van’s allowed us to specify exactly what we wanted. You turn up and fill in their leaflet, ticking the items you’d like. The food was quickly made, and quite tasty, but they seemed quite hurried, despite me being the only customer, and missed out items on the order, including beer and a brownie, which they didn’t have, and soup, which they didn’t make, and I only realised was missing when I got back to the hotel. It’s a good place, but I’d suggest you check you order before leaving!"

At uncle vans you can either get some ready made options -vegan- or you choose your own noodles with toppings and sauces -most of them are vegan- and the fry your individual meal for you.

this Uncle Van isn’t my favourite. the place just isn’t as cosy as others. the food is still delicious though and i love the pick-what-you-like concept. lots of vegan options, all sauces are vegan, too! veggies are fresh and portions are big.
