"Booked table but when we arrived they had ran out of quite a lot of the menu. Told that it was due to walk ins. Only had Beef, fish and chips or veggie option. Same issue with starters and desserts. It's a bit out, so it's not like you can just pop elsewhere. To be fair the beef was nice, but it's about the only plus. Asked for bill 4 times and then waited to pay we just got up. It's not a cheap meal either, so you expect more for your money and I'd suggest if wanting to go then don't reserve. I wanted earlier but was told on site it was fully booked. Bit of a bad day out with friends, so I wouldnt travel out for the risk and price. Plenty nice places willing to take less money."

A return visit after an invigorating frosty walk. We were not disappointed. The four of us agreed that Sunday lunch was one of the best we have had. The atmosphere was lovely and the informed service was the right balance of friendly yet professional.
