Wahaca Chichester - Menu

The food was delicious, but the service was very slow. However, the staff were very friendly.

Zizzi restaurants are always a reliable and 'safe bet '. I dined at the Chichester branch and found it good on all counts food, service, price etc. Recommend

Always a buzzy atmosphere in an interesting building. Friendly staff but could do with more staff at peak times ie now as service was slow. Good menu choices for informal dining.

We took our 11 month old for an early dinner, it was a Friday and there was only one other table occupied. The service was good despite there being only one waitress on duty at the time, the food was tasty and good value.

I had booked a table for four but they didn't have it on their system. A table was found but they were unbelievably busy so we had to wait an hour for our food. Staff were helpful though and we would consider visiting again.

Have eaten here many times and tonight (sat 30th may) it was disappointing. At 6.30pm they'd run out of fish! The waitress could barely speak English which was hard work for us as she had to keep asking her co-waitress to check that she'd understood what we were asking for! On the back of that they forgot our drinks so we sat there like a couple of dry lemons before we had to remind them! Not a good experience. Lots of choice in chi and won't be rushing back.

The meal was good. We got there at 7 and by 9 we still hadn't had our main course however, we were given a free drink. But the main complaint was I booked a table for 4 through Opentable, they sent a confirmation email straight away and then a reminder the day before our booking and, then, when we got there, they didn't have our reservation! Luckily for us they could accommodate us but I would have been pretty annoyed if they had been too busy to. Next time I will print off the confirmation, but if they were full there wouldn't be much you could do about it! Not impressed with Opentable

In the end Zizzi is in the cheap and cheerful category, so what should I be expecting? I went to Bill's last week, where the food was good value, service attentive, and when there was a delay in a second coffee arriving, the bill was reduced as well as an authentic sorry. In Zizzi, first, they were not aware of my on line booking using Top Table, and I did not feel as if any attempt was made to take responsibility for this. However, we did get a table. I am thinking, what will happen to my record on Top Table as now I may appear to be somebody who does not turn up when I have made a booking. What about my points? The delay in the main course, and no management follow up when this was raised...

Maitra D appeared indifferent and uninterested in our reservation at an open table, placing our party of 5 at the back of the restaurant without much consideration. Despite our desire to move to a better table, he was not accommodating. We settled for the less favorable seating due to hunger. Our waiter, on the other hand, provided better service, which improved our overall experience. The food was good and served hot, although the service was a bit slow, possibly due to understaffing.
