"Rather, we wanted to escape primarily corrosive and extremely annoying Baularm in our near environment for some time. For almost four weeks, an apartment has been renovated and refurbished among us. The concrete ceilings between the apartments contribute to the fact that the craftsmanship sounds from the volume as if our own bathroom was torn out. with the Sankt Wendeler Felsenmühle, she had not only set the escape destination, but also ordered a table there for 13:30. Unfortunately, it then looked so at the bottom that we were not spared even when eating in the rock mill by loudly strong craftsmen. In the outskirts of the mill, a Rüttler and a front loader did everything in their power to spare us the stay and lunch as thoroughly as possible. I think that the sound level caused by the esteemed GG colleague Petra IO in her rock mills report would have been better than the construction site noise due to high levels of guests; The ambience of the various guest rooms ranges from original to industrial design; we had a table in the original area and I forgive three and a half stars. A structural update could for me be the wet area for men; it was clean, but it was also quite inhabited. According to my treasure, the wet area ladies have also been clean. Service: First of all a lady looked after us: not excessively friendly, not excessively flotted, not excessively attentive and not excessively familiar with the contents of the menus; overall rather indifferent. From the moment she was sitting in front of the tress, the situation improved. A younger Asian looking man took over; the service thought was much more familiar, which was of course pleased to us as guests. We had more attention and also had the opportunity to talk briefly with him several times. Two stars for the lady and four stars for the Lord in the field of service together give three stars (2 4 6:2 3 . As I have heard from comments, this formula is not correct; how about 2 4 6 instead and this result divided by 2? Eating and drinking: We had already informed ourselves at home via Internet and the Rock Mill HP about what kitchen and cellar offer. My treasure had even chosen a dish: the potato soup with cherry pancakes. for that we were one day too early. It would have been the morning meal; dasa today were fillings with bacon cream sauce and sauerkraut for EUR 9,50. So something else had to be done, both we ordered the beef broth with beef and Julienne vegetables for EUR 5,40 each. Madame took the Rumpsteak Madagascar with Pommes Frites (EUR 22,90 ; I chose the devil medallions; three pork fillet medallions doubled with chilibacon in pikanter sauce with Pommes frites for EUR 16,90. When Dessert had ordered my most beloved Crême Brûlée; This was no longer possible according to the kitchen (for whatever reasons, Pannacotta was offered with fruits at the price of EUR 6.90. This was accepted and I took a Williams Gold (2cl EUR 3.50 as a dessert. We drank a swollen mineral water (EUR 2.40 and a Franciscan wheat from the barrel (EUR 0.5l 4.40). Among the few open wines I had unfortunately not found that for mch passing; a pity. We were very happy both with the soup and with the main dishes. My wife had ordered the Rumpsteak medium; it came medium rare, which was not a leg break. The meat quality was excellent, the steak was very well cut and the pommes were very nice crispy. There was nothing to complain about my diabolical medallions; they were still beautiful pink inside. The sauce announced as a picant was witty pikant; I would have been happy if I had not only a strip of Chilibacon but one per medallion, i.e. a total of three on the plate. I was happy with the Pannacotta, and I was happy with the Williams Gold. Conclusion: The stay in the rock mill would have liked us even better without the building site noises! It's good to see you again."

"The faithful GastroGuide writers surely remember the “Saarschmecker”. Mr Saarschmecker and Mrs Saarschmecker are still very pleased, unfortunately the esteemed colleague has retired in writing. More important is: Our personal contact is excellent and good food must not be missed! A few weeks ago, Mr Saarschmecker demonstrated: He cooks excellently – sometimes a Saarland private date. Before this private meeting, however, the Saarschmecker proposed an evening at Haus Gudesberg. We picked him and his wife at home and went on the way to the restaurant. This is slightly increased in the sole position at the edge of Saint Wendel. . You don't need to hope for running, but it is highly recommended! Parking is free of charge directly at the house. On the left of the house there is a beautiful beer garden. And right at the restaurant there is probably the most beautiful view of St. Wendel! The first enjoyment of the evening. Inside we were warmly welcomed by the owner Jens Wittwer. The Saarschmeckers are known here. The restaurant was already very well visited. A beautifully covered table with white table cloths on the window, . with St. Wendel View, was reserved for us. View of St. Wendel And the fragrances from the kitchen increased expectations. The maps were handed over and the separate map “our summer specials”. The guest has “the torment of choice” and indeed the decision was extremely difficult. We were able to browse the map in peace. In the meantime, the drinks were taken up. In service now exclusively generational men. All professional, attentive and very friendly. 1 bottle of mineral water, 0.75 l € 5,90. My husband and I chose the dry Pinot from the Palatinate. 0.2 l € 6,00. A good choice, unfortunately the winery on the wine map was not mentioned. The waiting period was bridged with a fine aromatic olive grove with fresh bread as a greeting from the kitchen. Greetings in advance: Olivetapenade and Bread Thumbs high! As an appetizer we chose the salad Gamba colourful salads with 5 grilled Gambas and Rucola Pesto € 13.90. I was very pleased that the number of Gambas is mentioned on the map. 5 Gambas as an appetizer, 7 Gambas as main food. The guest is informed. At the order, the conversation somehow came to garlic and present garlic lovers. So our salad plates were served with a glass of garlic in olive oil, which found joyous pickers. Salad Gamba Set garlic The salad was well sized as an appetizer, crunchy fresh, cleanly powdered. Very good dressing. The shrimps perfectly fried. Bread was added to the salad. Separate paths to the main course. For my husband: Fried zanderfilet on ratatouille, with band noodles (exchanged in roast potatoes) and white wine sauce € 20,50 For me, after long thought, sometimes pig. Here, Chef Jens gave the decisive hint: The meat is obtained from a small pig mast with free-land holding in Blieskastel. Duo vom Duroc Schwein: Grilled Carée and with pepper honey crust gratinated neck steak, thyme jus, butter-swung roast potatoes € 17,90. Our main dishes were served simultaneously on well preheated plates. My husband was very satisfied with the juicy fried zanderfilet (in original more appealing than photographed). Fried zander fillet on ratatouille The ratatouille very well seasoned. The nicely browned roasted potatoes were served separately. My pork? First class! I can't say what convinced me more on the plate. Both, Carée and Steak, was perfectly juicy roasted, buttery, discreet but very well seasoned. Duo from the Duroc pig duo from the Duroc pig in the cut The excellent meat taste is not overlaid. The thyme full of aromas, very harmonious with meat. The cubed roast potatoes with exactly the right roasted aromas. An evening to feel good and enjoy. There was another nice personal conversation with the owner and we could only confirm our satisfaction. Finally an espresso € 2,50. We were warmly approved by Mr Wittwer and Team and will certainly be very happy to come back!Blick on St. Wendel"

"nationwide makes herr kunz advertising with his michelin star for the "restaurant kunz". we received a advertisement from him for a "surprise menu in 5 courses" in the "restaurant kunz" and therefore four times the 50 km from saarbrücken to blew.Welch a disappointment: in the "star restaurant paper table cloths? brotteller to (absolutely great fresh cornbrot with butter, fleur de sel and schmalz) only on a true, but almost cold carrot soup. 2. gang a piece of fried makrele, quite dry, as this cheap fish hold is, but the least the beurre blanc was perfect for it..3. floor: a small egg with banana pieces. dry, i.e. a small white rhum odder gin would have done well to the ice. but to describe it as a gang, is already very questionable!4 gang 3 pieces of barbary duck breast, of the brat duration just at the rande of the acceptable but with large, non-essable overlapping skin edges. weed and red herb; a typical winter dinner on this beautiful spring day in April.Last walk a three-part dessert, served ini cheap Ikea glasses: a small egg with chocolate, a crème brulée and a warm moose without a marille. The only really positive in the restaurant kunz was the service by the 3 serving women: super friendly, from these we could also know that there is only one "restaurant kunz" but the michelin star only applies to a small, separate room for which you have to register. but we were also in the restaurant kunz, but stop in the fireplace room, which can only be called bistro (which is however heart kunz not and has led us - and certainly many others before us already - into the wrong; and that is probably in full intention.)But a word to the totally overlaid wine prices in this bistro: for a glass 0.1 l crémant d’alsace paid that was the only one comparable to a star restaurant."
