"I got my friend there for a birthday contract. The man at the reception was not very friendly. Looks like he didn't want to be there. I wanted to take a place in the reception area and bring us drinks menu. We ordered two teas. They came to our small table in the reception area without teaspoon or sugar just a little milkpot. We were then brought along the main menu we didn't want as we wanted the afternoon tea menu. He brought this and we said we wanted the afternoon tea. Then he told us we have to book this in advance! I was not given the opportunity to book any meal online. We just died to order scene. They were taken to the table at the reception to ask if we could sit in the main restaurant, what they said we could. We had to bring our pot of tea and cups etc. to the restaurant. There were only three other people there all the time. The food was okay. Scones very small for the price. It was cold, no music and no atmosphere. The staff was not over friendly and we couldn't wait to go. Will not disturb getting back what a shame is, because the attitude is very beautiful."

eat in the space. first visit and will definitely go back. the staff was very friendly and the eating was amazing. that was also a reasonable price.

The restaurant was quiet when we ate, which meant that there was no atmosphere, but the food and service were both very good. I would recommend it and visit it again.

Food was very good but portions very small was more like sitting in a cafe than a cosy restaurant only 4 people in total on a Saturday night not supricing with the pricing for the portion sizes

a small hotel with separate restaurant in a quiet opposite to the river severn and hereford gloucester channel. very comfortable, clean room. all staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much for them to make sure they have a great stay.

had a nice 2 nights, we had booked about a booking website as we did not realize that the bar and restaurant are closed on a Monday and Tuesday. Nevertheless we had a nice time and had a nice breakfast before we went on Wednesday morning. good back for another break to taste the best and restaurant

The room was very light and airey. Nice ensuite bathroom. The only negative was no bottled water in the bedroom. Food was very good especially the cheeseboard prepared by Tessa. Breakfast was very good. Possibly the owners might want to improve the signage from the road as we missed the entrance on arrival.

We were celebrating my husband's 59th birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary. I am so glad I chose the Wharfhouse, which I had been meaning to try for some time, as my husband was bowled over. He thought it was the best steak he had ever eaten and one of the very best meals ever. He is so hard to please when dining out that I was thrilled and we will definitely return.

found this small hotel/bar/restraunt through Google search when my pre-booked choice had left me down. only very late at the day of arrival contacted, fortunately they had available space for 2x double rooms. the personal could not have been more helpful. kitchen only open to order food unit 20:30, but eating was really well prepared and menu reasonably wide. the bar closes at 22:00 and there are no employees after that. breakfast not included in the room rate and only available from 09:30 clock.
