"Encontramos el lugar por pura coincidencia al habernos equivocado en meternos en autopista de peaje. Al salir de la misma nos entró el gusanillo de comer algo y buscando en Google Maps y abierto ahora aparecieron este restaurante y su hermano local (literalmente) uno que estaba en frente. De los dos este tenía más estrellas y paramos. Agradecimos que había parking suficiente y el edificio artesanal chiquito aunque no decía nada por fuera sorprendía por dentro ya que parecía que hubiésemos entrado en una tasca en la que hubiera entrado Don Quijote con Sancho Panza. Pedimos tortilla de patata y jamón serrano por la pinta que tenía en la carta. Nos explicó el que nos sirvió (un hermano) que si pedíamos tortilla de patata, al hacerla para nosotras tendríamos que comprar la mitad...valió la pena por la cantidad generosa y la jugosidad y perfecta cocción de la misma. Para el plato de jamón preguntamos expresamente como de grande era el plato de una media ya que el precio era un tanto caro para el grande y nos lo ilustró con las manos. El jamón muy bueno, per el precio no tanto ya que nos cobró los 16€ del plato grande. Cuando se lo mencioné él mismo dijo en un principio que efectivamente habíamos pedido la ración media pero cuando le dije que nos había cobrado su compañera por la entera, rectificó y dijo que sí que efectivamente nos habían dado la grande. Teniendo prisa nos tragamos los 8€ de más que nos cobró al haberse equivocado por darnos (o cobrarnos) el plato grande...SUGERENCIA: dejar muy claro y contrastar antes de pedir: la diferencia entre la ración grande 16€ y la ración mitad de 8€. Suerte!"

"Llegamos a cenar el domingo a las 21:30 (según el horario del restaurante aún abierto). Según nos ven aparcar, dan el primer el primer aviso, apagan deprisa las luces exteriores. Entro, pregunto al camarero la posibilidad de tomar algo y su respuesta es que la noche está siendo muy floja y que el jefe ha dicho que cierre. ¿Esto es profesionalidad? ¿Alguien entendería que los comercios fueran cerrando en cualquier horario porque lleva una hora sin entrar clientes suficientes? La hora de apertura del bar los domingos por la noche son las 20:30, si van a cerrar a las 21:30 les recomiendo que directamente no abran y no engañen a los que se crean el horario publicado Es una pena, porque el restaurante no está mal, pero visto el respeto a los clientes y la profesionalidad de los que allí trabajan no volveré a parar, está claro que no somos bienvenidos Tras leer su repuesta me reafirmó en lo dicho. ¿Cierran porque sus empleados no están contratados? Porque si tienen contrato el sueldo ya está pagado. ¿Cual es la situación económica del país de la que habla? La hostelería va a todo ritmo. Palabras, palabras, palabras. Me reafirmó que no volveré y procuraré extender mi experiencia entre los conocidos"

"Pues hemos conocido este sitio de casualidad, y ha sido una sorpresa. Pertenecen por lo que nos han comentado al Siglo Doce, mismos dueños y como no tenían sitio allí nos han derivado a este segundo local. La comida es la misma salvo algún plato puntual que no está del sitio principal, pero misma calidad. Pedimos dos menús, y ni un pero a nada. Las patatas revolconas, las judías, la carrillera y el chuletón, todo super rico, salvo recomendarles poner un cuchillo de carne para el chuletón, pero no de sierra, si no de filo liso, creedme que los clientes lo agradecerán. La tarta de queso buenísima, y el arroz con leche toda una sorpresa, para repetir. Pero sobre todo la atención, muy amables y con ganas."

"We went to test the abulian gastronomy, and the truth that the men of tasting was regular: of the incoming, tpicos were only the fries. The beans weren't bad, but I don't think they were shipmen. the veal loin was a little hard and strong taste. dessert was not typical (although it was good, that's the wine, delicious. less bad we asked for the chuletn: that was excellent of flavor, texture, quality and roast. As always, very friendly staff. "We ate here twice on our visit to the beautiful old city of Avila. A very nice evening meal and a lunch on our last day. We loved it here. Lovely people ,good food and a great House Red. "This place is simply *amazing*. You know those fiendishly expensive French “degustation” 6 course menus? Well the taste experience at this unassuming little tapas bar full of locals was equally as perfect, but for a fraction of the price, with friendly service and great football on tv. We were a bit surprised when a friendly elderly waiter said “best to combine the flavours: have a bit of chorizo and salchichón in the same mouthful”. Well, it turns out he’s the owner, and obviously takes tremendous pride in his tapas: his anchovy and marinated (by him) sardine on melted blue cheese (see pic) was another memorable taste explosion. And the (complimentary) chicharrón was to die for (probably literally: it was wildly unhealthy). And somehow the tortilla and pork ribs didn’t make it onto the bill, apparently they were complimentary as well. Laurie Lee had an unforgettable tapas experience well, we’ve just had it happen to us. I’ve been to many restaurants over the years, and have never got round to reviewing any of them: this little tapas bar in beautiful Ávila has finally got me writing."

"We order the menu of the day. I put 4 stars as it took me a long time to take care of us, between dish and dish and at the time of the account. the paro salad was good, the spinach had a lot of stem and the vinegar knew a lot about mustard. "The restaurant is situated very near to the famous view point The four posts Cuatro postes . The atmosphere was a little bit odd: old beautiful stone wall and plastic Coca-cola chairs. We ate lunch and my husband chose thin veal stake anf french fries and that was okay. My choice wasn 't so succesful: trout with ham and the salad for both of us. The salad wasn 't very fresh, tomatoes were raw and asparagus was from the can while it is now season time for fresh ones. My trout tasted odd and was full of small boans. The ham wasn 't any better. The service was friendly and they had a menu also in english. The view was good, because you could see the town of Avila and its famous walls. But if you prefer good food and have a chance to choose, so pick another restaurant. Kahden hengen salaatti ei ollut houkutteleva: salaatit olivat ruskettuneita, tomaatit olivat raakoja ja mukana oli purkkiparsaa, vaikka tuoreparsojen sesonki on parhaimmillaan. Mieheni otti lehtipihvin ja ranskalaiset ja se kuulemma oli ihan ok. Oma valintani ei osunut nappiin. Valitsin taimenta ja kinkkua enkä tyhmänä tarkistanut onko kyseessä file vai kokonainen kala. No tietysti se oli kokonainen ja täynnä pieniä ruotoja. Nekin olisi jaksanut nyppiä pois, jos maku olisi ollut hyvä. Kala ei maistunut miltään eikä suolankaan lisääminen auttanut. Jos siis arvostat hyvää ruokaa, etsi joku muu paikka."
