"after a few really bad visits it seems to have picked up a bit again. that's our local, so let's keep trying. eating was nice yesterday when a little slow on the arrival. they were short staff, but seemed to come in order. app for order seemed not to work properly and complained to me 3 times, but always said the payment failed, they were happy to pay me back. eating was nice enough. the external structure they build is good, meant that it was warm enough to sit outside yesterday."

"A Great British Pub but not a Great British Meal for 2 of us in a party of 4. To be fair the pub overall is nice and the beer good. But I was bitterly disappointed by the Fish and Chips. Advertised as small or large portions for £13.95 and £17.95 respectively the former should have been on the child’s menu it was so pathetically small. I rarely write negative reviews but this sort of offering gives Pub food a bad name. And to be honest the quality was only so so and in no way compensated for the price size. Other dishes on the menu have similar size options so just beware when you order. I was offered another choice to make up for it but once you’ve started and everyone has their meals I never like to ‘start again’."

"the ignorance of the food industry towards food allergies is frightening and the heart restaurant is an excellent example for this unpredictable ignorance. the restaurant was informed in advance about the heavy allergy of my daughter on seafood. they gave us a table next to the kitchen, because they ignore at the heart that an allergic reaction can be caused by breathing in steaming from the cooking of seafood or any food. they fry the chips in the same oil where they roast seafood and roast the meat at the same place where they fry the garnels. the alternative offered was a waiting period of 30 minutes, hoping that someone would go. they let us wait in a street where the other restaurants wore their müll and smoke the people. unnecessary to say that we have gone. when we add that the restaurant was aware that it was my 40th birthday and we were there to celebrate, the image of an absolute ignorance and inability becomes more complete. absolutely terrible experience. to avoid any event!"

"I adore this pub. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is amazing. It's a cool and trendy gastro pub with a diverse crowd of people. The interior is warm and inviting, with modern yet cozy furnishings and a touch of glamour. They also serve Hoegaarden beer, which pairs perfectly with their fish and chips and mushy peas. I highly recommend visiting this place if you find yourself in Bath. The outdoor garden area is perfect for relaxing in the summer. Check it out and treat yourself."

"The pizza was really tasty the cheese was good and the topping combos were lovely. I had the bbq jackfruit pizza which was definitely the right choice. However I think this was 1 of maybe 2 vegan pizza options? I didn’t ask but i’m sure other pizzas could be adjusted to be vegan! My pizza came with peppers (which i asked for without) so lost all my cheese by being fussy and picking them off but still well worth the money. Good prices and good service otherwise!"

"This restaurant is always our go-to spot for delicious food, with a fantastic atmosphere and the added bonus of being within walking distance from our home. The average pricing per person is between £30-40. We rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5."

"This morning, I enjoyed a lovely plant on the archway at this restaurant. I had delicious tea and toast to go with it. The friendly staff really made the experience special, and the food was both good and plentiful, especially considering the affordable price for trying somewhere new. There were many parking spots right in front of the restaurant. It was quite unique listening to the trains passing overhead right on time."

"as someone who rarely ordered fish while eating, I mean review of hole fyne, bath, inconspicuous a fish concentrated restaurant chain. that is, the perfect guide for the rare English summer day is the combination of salmon and white wine, and these restaurants both do pretty well. (I wish I had been adventurous enough for the haggis on the menu, but forgive myself when it was not a bitter evening in the januar). the location hole fyne is beautiful, a large but still intimate room with the obligatory bathroom marble colonnades, with an open preparation area at an end and a fresh feeling decor. I always thought that the restaurant would work well as traditional, so we ordered a few courses to start a special day, namely a light plate consisting of a many number of smoked salmon and terrines, (very fresh) oysters for the next course and for the main starter fish cake, served in a traditional clam, for me the highlight. in harmony with the light and fresh mood, the decor and the kitchen we ordered a chabis from the well ordered wine list. enough to fill, but not to weigh, this is a great place to lunch with a drink."

"Ended up here for lunch as other places we had tried were busy. Masks optional and tables very close together. My husband’s burger was quite nice but my chicken kebab was really horrible, I’m not sure how they managed to make it so awful. I...know hospitality has struggled during the pandemic but to make up for things it seems a lot of places are now using the absolute cheapest ingredients they possibly can etc. Kids shared a fish finger sandwich but the bread was dry and the fish fingers a bit weird. Asked for no tartar sauce and it came covered in tartar sauce. The area leading down to the toilets was really dirty which made me fear for the kitchen area although I believe this place has a good hygiene rating. As is often the case with a bar that does food during the day everything felt a bit sticky and grimy. Staff were friendly though and everything arrived quickly. We certainly won’t be returning though."

"booked for an overnight in bath. with the beautiful weather the view of the river was breathtaking. we were booked by holly, very friendly helpful (reach us great directions for a river to foot in a bath.) we arrived at the afternoon and have let ourselves in to dinner in the pub in the ground floor in our beautiful room. the vegan burger was very nice with the skin on chips. we also had the double bacon cheeseburger, very tasty. for dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding for the vegan option that we went with was deeply filled apple cake with vanilla ice cream. we have also mistakenly ordered the vegan salted caramel ice cream on the side that was beautiful (butterscotch angele joy taste,) this was ordered in mistakes compliments that was fantastic. in the morning we had the cooked breakfast. the full English was really nice, the vegan option was exceptional, easy 8/10. the staff was very friendly. the hotel bar is just a map."

"This restaurant is definitely a local pub. We got a nice table outside because the inside space was crowded. We ordered and paid inside, then brought our own drinks outside and waited for our food. It arrived after a while. I tried the pie and mash, and while the onion gravy seemed to be from a mix, the pie itself was handmade and the potatoes were fresh. It was a pleasant experience to dine in such an authentic pub."

"We were looking for somewhere to eat for a quick lunch with our 2 year old granddaughter after a trip to the theatre. I had done some research, and the menu looked very suitable. I ordered a salad, my husband ordered the meal deal with soup and a panini plus some chips, and my granddaughter chose beans on toast. The server seemed unaware that the children’s meals and meal deal included a drink (and they did not have the fruit shoot for the children’s menu). My salad came first, and was quite acceptable, but it turned out it should have gone to the next table. The panini and beans on toast eventually arrived (granddaughter was getting very hungry by then),but we never did get the soup or chips, and my husband was very unimpressed by the panini. We did not bother to complain, as our granddaughter was getting tired and we had to get home. Very disappointing!"

"Eat Food, not much, mostly plants. This is what the proprietor asks, but I'm afraid I cannot at this establishment. I'd eschew this notion due to wanting to chew on more of their striking potions stylishly and lip lip-lickingly applied to humble produce. I care not for how one has come to corrupt a carrot to make it tasty but this kitchen makes for a celebration. Dishes are bonafide in my eyes, delicious and seasonably sensational. Acorn are Organic Soil certified too. A Strawberry Thyme Martini to start with was daring and playful. My inner cynic (eye rolling at over styled Vegetarian terrain) melted away, silenced as I plunged into a hearty a brick of soft ewes cheese crumbling against an astonishing flush of rich juicy smoked then lavender infused confit Tomatoes, wildly I relished it with the pine nutty flecks of black tapenade dotted around it. Whoever recommended the accompanying Fleurie deserves a bouquet. Then to truly finish me off, a length, a perfect golden triangle, a tarty shard of salted chocolate; my goodness a deeply satisfying salted chocolate tart aside a rubble of crumbled Pistachio nuts, a simple sconce. For a Quenelle! A tantalising palate cleansing raspberry sorbet sat atop. Damn that dessert for taking away the tastes of mains, if I wasn't as stuffed as a marrow I'd have it all again. From great Oaks, sturdy shiny floorboards are made. On this restaurant floor Acorn have cheery collected assured staff tending to a bustle of good food lovers. I'm surprisingly satiated, blown away a little. I hope I've planted the seed of this Acorn enough to tempt you to visit. Book."

"I stopped by for a drink on Thursday night and was not disappointed. We ordered a rum-based cocktail that was a bit different for us, but absolutely delicious! This was followed by another rum cocktail that was also fantastic. Both were reasonably priced, especially with the sharer at £16 and the 2-for-1 cocktail offer. The atmosphere was friendly, and the decor was lovely. Although we only had drinks this time, I definitely plan to return for a meal. The menu looked fantastic, and everything that came out of the kitchen looked great and smelled amazing!"

"There were only 2 vegan main and start options. I went to start with the avocado salad and sweet potato curry for main. Both were really nice, but there is definitely room for improvements. More and more places now offer vegan options that is great and makes it much easier for a meal with friends who eat meat, but I feel that a salad is a bit a cop for a vegan option. Bill came to over £100 for the two of us and if I had a considerable meal, I would not have thought how the atmosphere, the staff and the decor, where brilliant. This place definitely has potential and hopefully they will introduce more items on the menu there soon! Until then, I will probably not go back because the lack of choice does not really justify the hefty price tag."

"Since my celiac diagnosis, this has been my go-to spot for burgers. Almost their entire menu, including fries (with the exception of caramelized onions), can be made gluten-free simply by changing the bun. I checked the online allergen list beforehand. When I ordered in person, they asked whether my gluten-free request was due to an allergy or sensitivity, and they labeled my order very clearly with !!ALLERGY!!, which made me feel much more at ease knowing they would prepare my food safely. I also order from them on Deliveroo, which can be a bit riskier, but the burgers arrive in completely sealed boxes so they don’t come into contact with each other, and the fries are gluten-free and delicious."

"This is just my favourite eatery in Bath. Not only did I meet my husband there (swoon! but the whole place is just brill. I've never had a bad experience. The service is spot on every time, the food is delicious and the cocktails are yummy! I was in one morning quite early and saw the staff being trained on the new menu and it really came across how much passion the chef had for he food and how much effort goes into creating the fab atmosphere there. And it's great that they have full Gluten free and Vegan menus you don't have to feel awkward asking for options, they're way ahead of you! Maria served me this morning and she was adorable! Love love love!"

"This is my favourite café in all of Bath. I love this café. It is stunning inside. The service is great. The food is great. I love everything about BTP Alfred Street. Except one thing. I 'm very, very, very sad that they have virtually omitted avocado from the menu. The only way you can obtain avocado is by ordering it with smoked salmon. I used to always order the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough with poached egg. This has been replaced with Smashed Peas on Sourdough with poached egg. The menu explains that this is a 'more sustainable version ' of my favourite Avocado on Toast. I 'm not sure about the sustainability thing but peas mashed with almonds does not equal avocado. The smashed peas are cold and do not have that smooth texture. Having warm toast and warm poached eggs with cold peas in the middle sadly is not a substitute for my old favourite. Also worth mentioning is that one can no longer order avocado as a side dish. Please bring back avocado. Thank you."
