Bath, una città affascinante conosciuta per le sue terme romane e l'architettura georgiana, offre piatti classici britannici come fish and chips e torte sostanziose, spesso gustati con birre locali.

"My favourite pub in the whole Bath and Bristol region, there is no better place for a Sunday lunch or dinner! The pub itself is a period building located in a quiet, picturesque nestling of a leafy village that immediately conveys warmth, character and a quaint, English charm. Indoors is a well-spaced yet homely feel, adorned with wooden beams and a fireplace too. Most of the pub is open plan yet cosy, and seating in an enclosed area is available too. In warmer climes however, you can dine on the terrace or out at the front. Not all tables are provided with sun-brellas though, and those without can leave you exposed to the sun. The staff tends to be locals or Bath Uni students, all of whom are polite. A varied menu offers generous portions of home-cooked British favourites, steaks and salads as well as a specials board featuring more contemporary and upmarket dishes. The food is very satisfying indeed, and desserts are equally sumptuous. What differentiates this pub from the rest though is its wonderful location, being situated by a canal towpath. During the summer there are few lovelier places to be. After lunch/dinner, you can work off the meal by going for a leisurely stroll along the canal or sit on the banks. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. This is somewhere you'd always look forward to coming back again and again."

"We had a great dining experience for our family of 12. The service was quick and efficient, and we enjoyed a variety of dishes ranging from pizza and pasta to fish. Everyone loved their meal! The seating was spacious and the restaurant was clean, with friendly staff. Although we had booked in advance due to the size of our party, we were seated immediately. It’s also worth noting that the restaurant accepts the blue light card for a 25% discount."

"Very nice surprise. Didn't planned to go there in the first place but received a warm welcome. The kids were very reluctant to go and all was forgotten with the colourful leaflet of activities provided I'm very impressed with this new ? leaflet too! It kept them entertained throughout dinner and I must say a lot of efforts has been put into it compared to other restaurants.... . Food was lovely, as usual. But most importantly, staff were really helpful and seem to genuinely care. They were so nice. Thank you!"

"We reserved a table for 7 PM and upon arrival, we were informed that we needed to vacate by 8 PM because my children are under 18. This restriction was not communicated to us when we made the booking. Although we were seated and thought we could make it work, we encountered issues with the online ordering system—specifically, the steak was out of stock, and we couldn’t remove it from our order. As we tried to resolve this, time slipped away, and by 7:15 PM, we realized we wouldn’t have enough time to enjoy our evening. Frustrated, we decided to leave and look for another place to eat, which proved to be quite difficult given the current circumstances. In the future, it would be helpful for online bookings to clearly indicate any age-related time restrictions for guests. I won’t be in a hurry to book with you again."

"We ordered takeaway via deliveroo and the aromatic duck was the worst we 've ever had. The meat and vegetables were very poor and it came with sweet chilli sauce instead of hoi sin, I 've had much better from the supermarket. They should be ashamed about serving this never mind charging £11.50. The sweet and sour prawns were not Hong Kong style and sauce was watery. Very disappointing from what is a supposedly a authentic chinese food. Will not be ordering again."

"My friend l have been meeting in the Pulteney cafe for about a year, to have morning coffee arriving back later for lunch we have always been greeted in a friendly welcoming manner, by ‘ Meedo’ until yesterday, when l arrived before my friend, l asked for a coffee, but was told by a very aggressive rude man, l couldn’t have coffee or tea unless l was having breakfast. His whole manner was disgusting!! My friend l came back a short while later as she couldn’t believe it….As we told him in a polite way it’s ridiculous it’s on the window that they serve tea coffee…..how he spoke to us was shocking, saying he was the manager he’ll do as he likes told us to get out …Why is he even running a cafe’ if not to put money in the til, absolutely no manners, whatsoever, made us wonder if he dared speak to a man like that !! So was so pleased to read that many others experienced the same…..We went across the road to The Bridge Cafe what a difference, excellent restaurants cafes in Bath to visit, as Bath residents ourselves, awful to think people visiting are treated by an arrogant person like him !!!!!!"

"Very bad service. It was obvious they wanted to close early. Bought out our mains when still eating starters. Turned a table of people away when the restaurant was empty. Our Waitrose was outside smoking and on her phone, when she came back in we had to call her over and she cleared our plates with her coat on. We asked for coffees but were told they had switched the machine off as they wanted to close because they âdidnât have any customersâ this was on a Saturday night. Very disappointed."

"I had a truly disappointing dining experience at Emma's Bar Restaurant Cafe that prompted me to speak with both the reception and the manager. After making a reservation, I arrived and was told to just sit anywhere. No menu was provided, and the waitstaff seemed to vanish. I had to raise my hand a few times and ask verbally for a menu. After finally receiving it, I was okay with waiting to place my order, as I understand that customers need time to decide. When my meal arrived, it was fairly average, with large pieces of smoked salmon simply placed on top of the Caesar Salad. Unfortunately, that was the last I saw of any staff. I sat from my 8 PM reservation until 9:39 PM without anyone coming to ask if I wanted dessert or even the bill! Eventually, I had to walk to the bar to pay, where I found no one there either. In retrospect, I could have just walked out! As a solo traveler, it felt like my presence was unwelcome. I understand that a table for one may generate less revenue, but it shouldn't be made so obvious that being single is a disadvantage. I typically leave generous tips, but not this time. I won't be returning."

"This lively little restaurant located right by the river was bustling with activity. The service was impressively quick, allowing them to accommodate a large number of patrons on a busy Saturday night. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. When I inquired about the higher price of a lamb dish at £26 compared to a more budget-friendly lamb stew with vegetables at £20, our waiter was able to convince me to try the dish - and I'm so glad he did. It turned out to be one of the most delicious meals I've ever had."

"my partner and I thought we'd go this place as far as we haven't seen a chain yet. after that it was quite small, but seemed cozy. we sat down and the waiting were ready to take our order. we managed to make a decision on which burger we wanted when they all sounded nice. our food came out in time and the service was good. the taste of the burger was amazing and could not knock it at all, for me it was perfectly cooked. my partner has the Mexican burger and the guacamole has an amazing taste. the waiter we had was very friendly and gave us a good time. with the place that was so small, they had to turn the people away again and again, but it made the place cozy and more concentrated waiting."

"I booked Belushi's for my birthday drinks because I have been before and really enjoyed it. I had to pay a deposit for a table of which I didn’t mind as it’s a lot of people and I know they will be worried about...drop outs.. I get it! So what I can’t understand is knowing that they have a large (I mean it’s not the biggest table in the world) group of people coming why it took minutes for our drinks to arrive. I asked the lady behind the bar if there was anything they could do as a gesture of goodwill because the drinks took so long, and she literally just blankly looked at me and said no. That was it nothing Else just no .. I stood there for a minute more before i realised that this was all she was going to say to me. So personally I’m wouldn’t go here in a large group, they clearly can’t cope with the amount of drink ordering and you may just be greeted my an angry member of staff. Also the drinks are average and over priced. So over all not worth it at all !!!! I wish I had picked a better place for my birthday but hey ho !"

"Jaimie's was not our first choice for dinner, but finding ourselves in Bath on a Sunday night felt like we were in a post-apocalyptic movie where the world's population had mysteriously vanished. With limited options, we stumbled upon Jaimie's on the charming Milsom Road. The meat board starter was enjoyable, but the pasta with sausage lacked flavor and needed a massive amount of seasoning. The summer truffle risotto was aromatic, but the overwhelming saltiness from the goat cheese was off-putting. Overall, not terrible considering it was our last resort, but part of me wished we had gone to the local kebab shop instead."

"We visited during a city event, so it was a busy evening and our group couldn't find seats inside. The menu had changed just three days prior, which made us brace for potential hiccups, given our expectations of a Gordon Ramsay-level experience. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered blankets, as the temperature was a bit chilly. The menu was very appealing, and the food was delicious and well-prepared, although I was somewhat disappointed with the lackluster presentation of some cocktails. Everything went smoothly until we ordered desserts. We ended up waiting quite a while before we had to cancel them as we had another event to attend. While the restaurant was busy, the wait for dessert was excessive. Overall, it was a nearly perfect experience, and I would love to try it again on a quieter night."

"the portions were quite small in comparison to what I am used to, but the eating itself was freshly cooked and could not be fault-free. the staff were very friendly and were attentive during our visit. one I commented at that time, was the fact that the was better if it were more herby, it tasted like the sausage used in a sausage in a chip shop. I guess this is more personal preference and would recommend this place to others to eat a cheap bite, a cooked breakfast in bath center."

"My first Afternoon tea experience in the UK- and THE BEST if I may say. I was in Bath for two days, and by day two I was a bit overwhelmed by the busy tourist area so I found this place to enjoy a proper British Afternoon Tea to myself. This hotel is located within walking distance from the main attractions such as the Abbey, yet it is away from the hustle and bustle. The environment was great- I sit indoors by the window and have a view of the garden on a sunny day, the background music was classy, food was absolutely a delight- especially the scones and the sandwiches. The whole experience is tranquil. Especially I love how welcoming the staff made me feel I think her name is Isabel? But I can't recall : sorry... Anyways thank you for giving me such a great experience. Best service in the UK so far- and that is the standard! I LOVE how businesses take honor and pride in making their guests feel welcomed and happy. I can't say anything about the rooms since i was only there for tea. But i will definitely recommend their afternoon tea to any friends in Bath. If i am back in the city, I will also revisit."

"searched this place and it is very mixed reviews. we went from the bath center pleasant evening walk on a Sunday, as arrived in the city, not knowing the opposite or their restaurants. we are both carnivores and many restaurants do not know how...for our needs so searched for a kebab place on the takeaway. it was also not disappointed after waiting for a few minutes, as both the doner and the lamb was freshly cooked. they are very tasty and absolutely no sodburn or darm probleme so big result round. chap, which served us very friendly and welcoming."

"This restaurant offers both takeout (on the ground floor) and dine-in options (on the upper floor). We decided to eat in and ordered fish and chips for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes for a reasonable price. It was one of the best fish and chip dishes I have ever had, and it left me feeling full for the rest of the day. If you're in Bath, be sure to try Bad Fish and Chips!"
