"Restaurant Delphi As every year on the first Wednesday in September, there are small family meetings at the Winzerfest in Bingen. And since it is better to drink with a full stomach... The target was fast today. Our last visit dates back to three years, the memory of it not too bad. The restaurant is located at an angle from the city railway station, not to be confused with the main railway station, in the Bingerbrück district. Parking can be done if free, in the immediate vicinity, from 18:00 and on weekend free. From the center you've been running for just ten minutes. You enter the place over a few steps. To the right the terrace beer garden, in which there was a couple sitting on the evening, but first it was not so warm, and there was nothing covered, or the seat cushions were not on the plastic chairs. Inviting looks different... So go through the door and right into the good room. It is bright, wonderfully decorated with stubborn works on wall and ceiling, similar to ancient Greek temples and buildings. It looks very authentic and welcoming. The dark tables are without tablecloth or other decoration. Only a paper napkin, knife and fork decorate the furniture. Fresh plastic flowers in “antiken” vases are placed on the storage areas and submitting. I'm still worth 4*. We will not be recognized immediately so that we wait a moment until a friendly, feminine service welcomes us and lets us choose between three tables. At this time, four other middle-aged guests are already present. Shortly after us two pensioners come beyond the 70. “Kosta”, I guess the junior, brings us the cards. A small DIN A4 “Book” in dark artificial leather, here and there a little dirty and sticky. Of course, the content is very extensive, there are quite everything you might want or not. The map can be found partly on the restaurant website. [here link] Warm and cold appetizers, salads, omelets, soups. Of course, the meat plate, Mousaka, baked and a few fish dishes, for example, “sea tongue” from 15,50€, shrimps and Zander, Calamaris and salmon. So while we fight through the map, the senior comes to ask for drinks. For me it was allowed to be a wheat alcohol-free Erdinger, 0.5l 3.20€, the girls chose Cola, or Specifically 0.4l each 3,40€ and a crystal wheat 0.5l 3,20€. To the question whether one could exchange pork medallions for chicken breasts at a court, the chief tortured himself in the answer. “Jaaa, exceptionally, costs 3€ surcharge...” Please? Yes, they have “Bresse Huhn” in him TK? Then not. Why be flexible? After a pleasant waiting period, the well-cooled drinks came. Only with my wheat one did not shake the yeast again, so that I had a “crystal wheat” visually, but I did not want to complain. The second came then neatly. The two appetizers did not wait long. Grilled Peperoni with garlic oil 5,90€ Twelve Peperoni, more or less strongly grilled, served on a beautiful plate, with neat Zaziki, and two grilled cherry tomatoes. The Zaziki is really very good. Ordinary knobinote, fresh and creamy there even my colleagues have one more day later. The peperoni, yes, as they taste grilled. spicy, slightly sharp and hot served. Then the garlic oil is torn. It seemed to me that garlic cloves were mixed with the oil or seasoned. The oil had a crumbling consistency. Tastefully very mau. No revelation, which was not to be expected. All in all a light and pleasant entry. Normal 3*, due to the very good Zaziki, more than 3.5* fried eggplants with Tzaziki 5,90 € This is better. Even here the creamy Zaziki, but the VIER taste-neutral, panned eggplant slices were nix. There was no salt, pepper and any other sophistication. Not even after fat, the breakdown tasted. Only a little delicate crispy with smoky filling indicated something edible in the mouth. If you don't know what it's supposed to be difficult to guess... Therefore only rounded 2* It took a while before the empty plates were noticed and cleared by the young lady. By default, she asked if everything had tasted. No minute later, she served four times the Krautsalat bucket with a few carrot strips, fresh, well plastered Frisee and red oak leaf salad, with a whole half cherry tomato and a few red onion strips. The dressing was okay, hard to say if made yourself. Didn't taste too sour and not too sweet, but also not... 3* Then there was something that the salad plate was not yet cleared, with the first two main dishes next to us. Stupid if you have only two hands, both full and then have to clean the table. But my lady is nice and makes room for the Greek. Filetmedaillons “Metaxa” 13,90€ twice Three rather large slices of pork fillet, nicely grilled and initially still slightly rusty, but quickly became dry. From the hurricane without criticism. Served on the sauce. But the “Metaxa” sauce gave us puzzles. The metaxa had to be thought, for it was not salted, and the binder tasted. After all, the use of cream had something self-made. I'm tapping instant powder, “finished” with cream. The pommes as a supplement were more than okay, nice thick and potatoy and fried in good oil. 3.5* Athens plate 12,90€ The bub had a desire for meat so it had to be one of these plates; on the plate there were Gyros, a Souflaki and a Hacksteak. Rice and Zaziki. All nicely roasted on the grill plate, a water-driving aroma rose into the nose. The Hacksteak wonderful. Very juicy, spicy and loose. Rare such a good chop steak as this eaten! It was almost that. Unfortunately, the spear is too dry, so the second beer... The Gyros also only moderate. Tastefully okay, but also quite dry. Fortunately there were Zaziki J . The rice acceptable, the tomatoes very fruity and well tasted. The Hacksteak brings 3.5* Mousaka 11,90€ With five minutes delay, the last plate reached our table. First impression; definitely self-made. A neat piece of Mousaka, dressed in the middle on the plate and not in one of these hot boils. As a decoration a tomato, and a chives. Very original! The first bite confirmed the first impression. The chop potato eggplant mix loose, fruity after tomato but also here no sophistication. I missed the cinnamon, the strong spices of herbs and the “Deckel” was unfortunately not enjoyable. Usually a delicious béchamel comes with lots of muscat mixed with egg on top, also with parmesan in it. But here this was a “mutation”. A not great mouth feeling, the flour dominant and not boiled for long. The ratio of flour to milk was not true either. Salt was missing too. My mother then scratched it completely up and left it to the sinker. Evil I meant to my sister, now you know where the decoration comes from here in the room... shame, I mean to remember, at our last visit the Mousaka was better. Not more than 2*... I was more than tired of emptying my plate, but I still tried to study the “Metaxa Soße”. “Kosta” wanted to clean up, but left me still. At some point, I was sorry. “Kosta” gave a friendly answer and then came to our joy with the obligatory Ouzo on the house. The ordinary bill came then fixed and we left the place. The senior and his employees wished us a nice evening. Conclusion: The second time here, again between the kitchen performance. Zaziki and Hacksteak are worth another visit. The Mousaka was not a master's achievement today, but with such a thing you can stand off from the crowd. Everything else average. So there are only 3* for the food of me. The service is friendly, but here and there is something inattentive, just okay 3*. Cleanliness is worth only 3* this time, on the toilets the spider looked over my shoulder, in the guest room also the one or the other has settled down and the partly sticky cards give me no reason to give me a better assessment. Otherwise, it's neat. I am not absent from another visit, but I do not have to repeat it."

"Gran Sasso This time I went with my little nephew and his mom. It's Binger Winzerfest again and the girl wants to drive a wine carousel and I drink a wine. But eat first. Of course, it was only discussed whether this or that Italian was. In the end, I was able to get through for the Gran Sasso, next year my sister can choose. Gran Sasso is located a bit away from the city centre, near the river Nahe. Parking there are a few in the homey farm, if not straight winery festival you can also easily get free parking on the other side of the road. Payable until 6 p.m. It was just after we entered the place over three steps. Shortly before us, the boss came back from the city and could welcome us with a warm smile. The weather invited to eat on the roof terrace. So through the chic guest room up by stairs. The junior chief was waiting there. Only two more guests had found the way up here. It should be fuller during the early evening, so when we walked nine up and five sat down. We were then allowed to choose a free table and got the cards quickly. In addition to the standard work, there was a leaf with day recommendations, which could also be seen at the entrance on a high long table. There are also things like veal livers or meat dishes that are not present on the normal card. It consists only of appetizers, pasta and pizza. Because of the heat we chose a Cola (0,3/2,5€, a large apple choir (0,4/3€ for me and a small (free! for my nephew). The drinks came a little delayed and were ice cold. In the weather, however, only a short period. I remember the last visit, the drinks were already very, very cold... I noticed (or even from my own mind that the little one got a plastic cup with a small tube. After ordering it took some time and as small children get boredom we asked for an empty sheet of paper on which he could paint. The wish was met and even colourful pens were available. It really took a time until the first meal was served, not even much was going on. Admittedly, our operation seemed a bit lustless on the day... The tables are quite simple, the metal pipe chairs are padded with seat cushion. Only a green tablecloth and a pot with flowers decorate the table. The cutlery was served with paper napkins on a plate. There was also a children's fork. It slowly filled on the terrace and our lady in the service had to do properly. After all, she served us the small pizza Margeritha (3,80€ small pizza Margeritha especially for the little hunger (there are extra dishes for Bambini . She was also pre-cut so that my nephew could eat them comfortably (after having a little cool off with her hand). In diameter about 18 20 centimeters, there was a good sugo and mozzarella. Only the basil was missing, but that did not bother the little one. On the contrary. Green food is doof... Small Italian salad (4,50€ small Italian salad Just the right for a hot day. All fresh and crisp, the dressing typical Italian, thin and in the bottom plate. Something pepper would have done well. The rest, however, is standless. Married cucumber slices, tomato slices, egg, carrot Julienne, various leaf salads and a decoratively cut radish. Garnish with fresh parsley and thick onion rings. Was tasty and the price appropriate. 4* The clean-up was waiting. There was no need to ask if it tasted. Somehow it wasn't her day. The pizzas came very soon. Pizza Bianca with buffalo mozzarella, Bresaola, Rucola, Parmesan, olives and cherry tomatoes (11.80€ Pizza Bianca with buffalo mozzarella, Bresaola, rocket, parmesan, olives and cherry tomatoes A pizza from the recommendation card, ordered by the sister. Bianca therefore, as no tomato sauce was used. Therefore, a little dry, olive oil would have helped. Otherwise, however, really delicious and crispy also due to the good ingredients such as beef ham, good olives, clean rocket and parmesans lagoons. In the middle a small ball buffalo mozzarella. Only cherry tomatoes were rather small shrub tomatoes. But all right. Also here 4* Pizza Margherita with Pulpo, Schrimps, Garlic and Rucola (12.50€ Pizza Margherita with Pulpo, Schrimps, Garlic and Rucola My pizza was really fun at the beginning. Crispy dough, beautiful tomato aroma, fine rocket with parmesan. The Pulpo was still okay, but it quickly became too dry as it was too thin. The Schrimps were nothing special, probably those little TK worms. What I didn't like in the end was the garlic that became more bitter. Too bad. Just one okay – 3* The clean-up took a little while again, it was a lot to do now. After all, she asked if everything was right. After everyone went down to the clean toilets, we asked for the bill. At least there was a friendly adoption. And the little man was finally happy to come to the carousel... Conclusion: I can recommend the Ristorante. In my opinion, the most authentic Italian in Bingen, with a nice but sometimes restrained service, it always takes a little while to chew up. Here and there is something inattentive with empty plates and glasses. (3* The food has always been fine, even in previous visits, my pizza had slight weaknesses. (here rounded up 4*, The ambience below is chic, cozy, at the top of the terrace pleasant. 4* On cleanliness there were no complaints this time. Even on the terrace hardly any foliage or other dirt. Toilets okay, downstairs I can't rate. I see 4* PLV this time at 4.5*, for the money you can't make great! We will definitely come back to enjoy a veal liver in the cold season. You get so rare here... 4 – happy again (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to kitchen trip"
