"My parents and I went there after a theater show on a rainy Monday night, and didn't expect this to be such a popular, cozy place, steps away from the deserted pedestrian mall on a dark, tree-lined street. Well perhaps there isn't much of a...choice in Bad Godesberg these days. A formerly diplomatic, posh part of Bonn, that neighborhood went down the most after the government site was moved to Berlin. So you can never quite go wrong with a neighborhood Italian, right? The atmosphere was nice, the service friendly, the wine selection good, and, as the owner told us, 90% of his customers are regulars. The food, however, wasn't impressive. Things looked good on the menu nicely handwritten on decorative blackboards hanging from the brick walls. I ordered a tagliata di manzo, something that requires freshness in the meat and the cook's congenial ability to grill it to perfection, then slice it quickly and somehow manage to get it to the table in no time, served still hot. The meat was decent, but the salad wasn't. In fact, the salad was swimming in a watery dressing, more lemony than olive-oil-y, too much, too sour. Ugh. And the plate was cold. Next my dad had asked for a pizza salami napoli, which came with Italian sausage instead. Not that he minded much, but it wasn't what he had ordered and it could, in theory, have been changed but wasn't. My mother had ordered the pasta special from the black board, short tubbettoni with a white veal ragú. It sounded truly delicious. Instead she got the pasta from the regular menu paccheri. Again no big deal but it wasn't what she had ordered, and she got no proper explanation or apology for the swap. The plate itself was huge and could have fed two people easily. Decoration was pretty with a rosemary branch pinched onto a garlic dent, but the taste was a bit on the shy side. I ordered a Parmigiana because the waiter said it was a small plate with three little pieces listed as a starter, actually. It turned out that both the salad (also a starter) and the eggplant dish were enormous. No starters at all. The parmigiana tasted alright although not particularly yummy. Compared to our dishes my dad's pizza wasn't as large and thin as you'd expect, and the dough and toppings didn't look convincing. So what did we find? A friendly, casual place, where people are seated at three long community tables a nice, sociable treat, good for groups and families. If you're in for a casual experience and care more about the vibes and the spirits, less so about the food, then go for it. Do not go if you're looking for a great dining night out or if you wanted to impress someone. Are big portions a good thing? I actually think they're gross. Particularly if you ask and make it clear you'd like to have a starter plus a primo piatto, you should be warned that they serve generously sized plates, best to be shared, among two or even three people with a normal appetite. Oh, the place also operates an enoteca, so if you like the wine as we did you can take it home at affordable prices. A nice treat. Now if you know of a better Italian dining place this part of town, would you please let me know?"

"on the occasion of the birthday of the family mama was searched for a restaurant near Bonn/Köln, also to try something new and expand the horizon. because of a very positive resonance in the net, an interesting menu and nice looking pictures of eating and the interior decor one chose the "deja vu" in Bonn.A restaurant in which the concept described in the internet is lived to 100%! it should be a place where you like to stay for a long time, eat well above average and feel an increase in quality of life at the end of the evening! with this I don't want to hang the latte too high and disappoint any visitors due to an excessive expectation, but with us everything has been good! when you arrived and asked yourself: inside or outside? was the chef directly expressed the suggestion perhaps to enjoy the aperitif and possibly the appetizer outside and then to move inward if we were not. yes, not an extraordinary suggestion, but was immediately radiated in the first 10 seconds flexibility and interest, which also reflected in the course of the rest of the evening in the form of filled extra wishes and wishes. for eating yourself it is only possible to say so much: everything that was produced there was first of all of above average quality, second perfectly matched to each other (while you really noticed that the cook understands his craft and wants to deliver a round performance here), and thirdly just delicious! The cocktails are more expensive than in order and also highly recommended! Moreover, one has an immensely large selection in which even more unusual cocktails are offered as for example zombie (see pictures)! When the restaurant team was winded by the fact that a birthday was celebrated here, we got as a dessert variation from which not a single thing was also only averaged in batches, very big cinema! although all were fed, nothing remained and because of the extraordinary quality you had not felt it excessive. very good! as we learned, a member of the kitchen team is a patissier from New Zealand and has to keep his creations locked in front of his own personal...What we would be with the last and most important point: the walk with the guests. the 'deja vu' is visited almost exclusively by masters or future masters (as we are) and you can see that. very warmer, more interested and more communicative change with the guests, nice talks with the outstanding chef and a clearly perceptible desire to make the afternoon/death perfect, very individual and customized! the price is accordingly somewhat higher than at the pizzeria around the corner; at 4 adult people with pre-, main and dessert and plentiful drinks/ cocktails you already come to 200€, but the price ratio is completely reflected. Conclusion: we come back! also without special treatment by, for example, a dessert variation on the cost of the house, it was simply a reminiscent of the restaurant you are looking forward to the next "deja vu"!"

"I cannot express how upsetting it is from the shocking experience visiting Limao this week. I and many of my local friends have been regular customers there for years and always enjoyed it. However this week was a somewhat night and day comparison. I arrived...to treat a friend for a Christmas dinner who I hadn’t seen for some time. Outside I checked to see if dogs were ‘verboten’ there was no signage to say so. On entering we were immediately asked to show our COVID ID when I pointed out I had a young dog with me in a carry bag his head was poking out. There appeared to be no issue. We were shown through to the restaurant where we selected the furthest table away near the window so the dog was no trouble. He was no trouble, made not a single noise or disruption the entire meal. My friend asked to hold the dog early on and we were told to put him on the floor which she duly did, he slept in his bag and towards the end got out and walked around the floor. He’s well behaved, however we waited extensively to pay as no service staff came through and he started eating things on the floor under the table I was concerned as I had no idea what it was. It’s very dark in the restaurant and you could not see. Finally the bill came and I had the dog in my hands getting ready to put him back in the bag. The man who when asked told me he was the manager was beyond rude and told me to get out of the restaurant and never come back. I tried to explain the experience and that the dog had in fact been on the floor the whole meal and no trouble. I was told to get out and the manager unlocked the external door next to us and told us to get out. I’ve been a hotel manager and hospitality manager and held many leadership positions in my life. This man’s reaction was beyond acceptable, rude and humiliating being shouted at in front of other guests. Both my friend and I are truly upset by this experience we are both good, kind people and are shocked beyond belief. In relation to the restaurant experience (which got lost in this completely unnecessary drama) the restaurant is too dark, it’s almost impossible to read the menu. The prawns were very dry and VERY hard to peel. I was not offered a plate for shells and finger bowl and had to ask finally when someone came through. The wait to pay was extensive, we had one drink and a main course and it took hours. I hope this restaurant addresses this rudeness appropriately, the so called managed lacked a single ounce of management skill or empathy to be in such a position."
