"I recently visited this place and was very impressed. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter, and the chips were thick and fluffy. The portion sizes were generous and great value for money. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. I would like to make a special mention to Martina, the waitress, she was very nice and welcoming, and her service was a 10/10. I highly recommend this shop for a delicious, authentic fish and chips experience"

"Ordered from this restaurant for delivery and once it arrived there was items of food missing and the prices were through the roof. We spoke to a man and he was extremely rude and told us we were wrong and had ordered are own food wrong and when we asked how long are missing food was going to take he proceeded to shout down the phone at us just an overall bad experience especially for a returning customer and we won’t be ordering ever again from here. Furthermore the portions sizes are ridiculous barely any meat in our meals and the popadoms we practically stale worst dinner ever"

"my man and I eat regularly but wanted to try somewhere else, this place has not disappointed! I love absolutely the local environment, the music playing lists and especially the fantastic food (rail parts) and extremely attentive staff, we had a fantastic evening, beautiful atmosphere and service was top notch! Many thanks to kieran who took care of our granddaughter (4 months old) so that we could all eat in peace, this keerl deserves a medaille, brilliant with we also had a 4 year old and 10 years old and they loved that they could make their own ice creams! Many thanks to brand and his wife for all of us and for our evening to make pleasant. this is definitely one of those places that need to be talked about more... I would recommend 100% for family and friends. thank you again! x"

"my first visit to this restaurant gave him top brands, but recent visits have disappointed me. my penultimate meal of king prawn tikka masala contained of muddy soft garnel that I did not eat. I didn't mention it. but told a worker when I ordered a meal for the collection next. When I collected that eating, I mentioned again the garnel at the obvious chef and he looked at me with confusion and it was obvious that he was not aware of the problem. I had mentioned to the author to make sure that my garnels were fresh this time and that some extra garnels would be appreciated. he told me our garnels are always fresh, so obviously I am a lügner in his mind. my disappointment turned out to be twice. no extra garnish and yet a mushy soft garnish. I love their sose so that I can buy hawn tikka masala in future (until I buy a replacement restaurant) and to cook my own fresh garnels and add from marks and spenser’s. it is a shame that the service and the bad garnel have left a bad taste in my mouth."

"My wife and I visited here one Thursday evening to take advantage of the meerkat offer and to try out Nepalese cuisine as opposed to the usual Indian affair. It was a quiet night in the restaurant with not many in but that was ok with us, overall we had a great meal including popadoms starters mains side and bread trying some of the mains traditional to Nepal. Flavours were very rich and complex which were outstanding and refreshingly different what we couldn’t finish the very nice lady serving us boxed up for us to take home. Fabulous food with friendly service in a nice clean environment and some money saved too, what’s not to like."

"Tried here at the last minute when tying to get a Sunday roast and everywhere else was fully booked. The outside of the pub isn’t very appealing or inviting and I probably wouldn’t have gone in if I hadn’t read some good reviews beforehand. Once inside though, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were in a hurry as it was Halloween and the children wanted to go out trick or treating, so we only had a main course, but it was a great roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, parsnips etc. Nice big portion, well presented and delicious. They had also made a great effort with the Halloween decorations and gave out sweets to the children too. Would definitely return."

"What a great local Turkish restaurant. We have only had takeaway delivered from here so can’t comment on the restaurant itself, but all of the food we have eaten has been excellent, the quality of ingredients and cooking are all of a high standard as are the side dishes especially the bulgar. "Bought a Chicken Skewer Wrap. Description is 'Griiled chicken, peppers, onions, lettuce mayo '. It didn 't come with mayo. So I went up to the counter and said my wrap has no mayo. I was told that it doesn 't come with mayo, you have to put it in yourself, and pointed to where the sachets are located. So 1. The description is misleading, 2. You have to be psychic to know that it doesn 't come with mayo, 3. You have to unwrap the wrap to put the mayo in. Try and wrap that back up! And the best of it is that two waitresses agreed it was strange. Too right! Oh, and website says £5.95. It 's £6.95. P.S. My wife 's Chicken Avocado Salad wrap came with mayo (as in the description)."

"good menu option. service well. eat well. Unfortunately, the experience at the end was corrupted when paying the bill. the up to computer software did not work so no actual list of means of life etc. that was ordered. the man showed me no calculations of the sum he charged me. I was charged .?00 exactly in pfund and zero pennies. without exact details on the total invoice, it is possible that I was slightly overhauled. with only 3 tables that have fed us, I did not want to interrogate it with new covid19 restrictions by omicron. But when he did not check the PIN machine, he had paper (as we were the first diner for the day), so when I had scanned my card, he had paper as instructed by the machine. Once the paper has been inserted into the pin, it was too late to print several copies of the same transaction, so that the machine printed only one copy that he refused me. next he went down to complain that my ess companion sat on the table; then I asked about the PIN machine entrance that was given to me involuntarily. total disorganised billing system of 2. waiter. thus the risk of overcharging without customer realization."

"Went for a dinner with my wife and 2 kids. As we are not from the local area, the restaurant was new to us. So, My wife ordered a dish for around £24 to start with. The waiter told us we cannot be served as there is a minimum spending requirement for each adult which is £25. It was really shocking as I never came across similar experience in any kind of restaurant in UK. We wanted to add a kids meal which would cost another £10-12 but waiter was not supportive. We decided to leave without eating and had to lie to kids why we are leaving. It was a Saturday evening. Shame. Sad. Shocking."

"Best ice cream, love pistacchio and biscotto. I hope they will put back rum and raisin at some point. A little update on this review. My boyfriend ordered a cake for my birthday (today). Unfortunately yesterday we both tested positive for covid and we had no way to collect it. I called Unico and they sort out a delivery for today, they didn't even charge for it, also the lady on the phone was very nice and sweet. The cake was outstanding, delicious (pistachio and hazelnut). Thanks Unico for making my covid birthday a bit more pleasant"

"One of the worst Chinese meals to date. I tried them because the reviews on Just Eat were very good. In future I will check Google reviews are much more on point. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The chicken wings were fatty with some sort of cinnamon seasoning on them. The rice was far too salty. The house special fried rice had morsals of meat that were unrecognisable and strange tasting. Most of the food was masked with chilli pepper. I can't understand feed back saying that it was a good takeaway. The food was not fresh at all. This is my first time and most definitely the last. What of waste of £60!"

"Went to Orpington to the cinema our usual restaurant had closed down so decided to try it. A great choice on the menu we decided to both go for the lamb roast it was so delicious loads of meat roast potatoes mash and 3 other...veg and Yorkshire pudding and mint sauce. We’ve paid a lot more at other restaurants for a roast but this was outstanding and so cheap £6.50 definitely be going back. The service was excellent and staff very friendly too. Highly recommend this restaurant."

"A lovely restaurant, with ample seating for diners. Our meal consisted of a cod with chips and a rock with chips. The batter on the fish was light and of the right thickness to enable the full flavour of both fishes to be enjoyed and appreciated. And the chips were lightly oiled and cooked to perfection. This was our first meal at the Big Catch, and we will be returning! Thanks to all the staff for making this a really enjoyable meal out."

"I was hoping for more of Lavender House Café. The actual café is really nice – small and cozy with a nice decor. Unfortunately, the food was not so good. I was somewhat disappointed by the vegan options – they had only a vegan Ciabatta, 2 vegan sweet treats and a few vegan specialties. They had a wide selection in general, so it was a little disappointing that they were the only options for vegans. We went for the vegan Ciabatta – Humus-Pfeffer and the 2 vegan sweet treats – Vegan Biscoff Brownie and Vegan Nutella Cookie. The Ciabatta was ok, but would have been better with more filling, it was just a little taste. The Brownie and Cookie were okay. They did not taste biscoff or Nutella, and even though they had a decent texture, they both again lacked only in taste. I feel like this café is probably a great place to come for a non-vegan, but it was only for us."

"I had an absolutely wonderful birthday meal at junction in March 2022. alex was wonderful, he was beautiful for 50 people, put out the restaurant to my table plan (and to allow a bit of dancing afterwards), organized welcome drinks and ran the whole seamless. many texts of friends on the following day compliment of food and tell me what a fabulous evening they had. well made alex and his crew this man knows the hospitality '"

"I visited on a Saturday. The staff were so overworked it was awful to see and made the service extremely poor. Staff were running around constantly , forgetting orders. Drinks took ages to arrive. We were asked to move tables three times as there appeared...to be much confusion about reservations. With different staff telling us different things. Asked for tap water several times to different people before getting some myself from the bar. Once our food arrived no cutlery was given and had to chase staff for it whilst we sat with our food. We asked three members of staff for the bill and it never arrived so had to approach the till where they asked us what we had to create a bill! The people sitting next to us , they lost their ticket with their order so their food didn’t arrive… and they had to order again!! People other side of us got the wrong drinks. At one point a waitress was walking up to tables and asking people if they had eaten? When they had ordered. Clearly unclear what stages people were at with food. Such a shame because the place has so much potential and the coffee was top notch. Please management do yourselves a favour and employ more staff and have a manager overseeing service and not serving drinks. Especially on a Saturday !"

"Beyond impressed with the service in this place. I didn 't realise until the server asked that my friend is actually allergic to gluten, rather than just intolerant. Her sandwich took longer to come out than my salad because everything was prepared fresh and away from the other food. The toast had to be grilled on the same toaster as the rest of the food, but the chef brought it out himself and explained that he 'd put baking paper either side so it wasn 't contaminated. Her comment was this has to be the nicest toasted sandwich I 've ever had . Amazing care taken to keep her safe, I 'd give them 17 stars if I could! Massive thank you to everyone involved! Sorry, too late for photos we 've eaten it all!!!!"
