"I've had India Red suggested to me a few times now by locals, so when my partner and I fancied a post Christmas meal out I booked a table here for early evening. You can ring up if preferred but there's a booking service on their website which is always a plus. We were the first diners that evening in the restaurant, so settling down and making our choices was a peaceful and pleasant experience. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and beautifully decorated. The staff were professional and friendly too we could hear how many take out orders were being placed and other visitors to the restaurant seemed to be regulars, which I like to see and hear: it's almost always the mark of a great place! The menu here is massive so I recommend having a look at it online first to narrow it down. We eventually decided on paneer tikka and malai kufta to start, and then chicken pathia and chasni tikka for mains, alongside an India Red special rice and two chapattis (the latter recommended by the waiter). India Red don't have a license to serve alcohol so you'll have to bring your own booze, but before you run off to the offie check out the soft drinks menu there's a good range, including mocktails. The food was really tasty, reasonably priced with generous portions we polished off every bit. We'll both be recommending this to family and friends, and will make return trips no doubt."

"I visited here with a friend for afternoon tea on 28 Aug. It’s a quaint little place -coloured tablecloth-we were offered a menu -afternoon tea was £14.50 for 2 or £8 per person The gentleman serving advise of the choices for sandwiches on the menu -Tuna, Ham, Egg Mayo, Cheese, Coronation Chicken Roasted chicken -a good choice however you only get one of these with your a/tea -also only one scone one piece of cake -there were only 2 cakes in the cabinet to choose a slice from To add to our tea we ordered another 2 sandwiches (4 rounds) -roasted chicken egg mayo -on the a/noon tea we had chosen tuna ham We chose Earl Grey tea as our drink When the stand arrived with sandwiches there were the tuna ham cut into very nice finger sandwiches. We had asked for white bread for the egg mayo granary for all the other sandwiches The gentleman brought 2 plates of triangle cut sandwiches with a side salad -cut into quarters -crusts still attached. The bread was lovely however we were expecting them to be delicate finger sandwiches The scones were very flat -they tasted ok As we chose not to have the cake the pieces were put it into 2 separate boxes bags For the cost of the tea it was good value the quality was also good. The two gentlemen waiting on were obliging. It was just strange when we had to choose sandwiches out of a good selection but you were only able to choose one filling-not what one expects for an afternoon tea. Other food was being served whilst we were there it all looked smelled delicious"
