"Oh, my God, what a tasty bite! we were in a nearby airbnb and one of the reviews for the accommodation mentioned how well this Michelin star restaurant was. we have booked short notice and after looking at the menus on the line we decided to ask before. go to menu “Homard Bleu” with their wine selection. we were already in many beautiful restaurants, but this was the first Michelin star restaurant for our vater. we wouldn't have asked for something better. on a beautiful sunny evening we were picked into the gardens, with well-maintained grass, ripe trees, flower beds and a swimming pool to be met by the maitre d. he could have been pompous, but was nice, our French is poor, his English, somewhat better and he was professional, obviously very intelligent and had a great feeling of humor. we sat on a garden table for a while enjoying all the experience and served delicious aperitifs along with some delicious appetits, a precursor of what was to come. once on our table, on the open terrace, we were treated with an extraordinary, culinary joy from the chef of cuisine, an extraordinary service from the waiting staff and an amazing, magical performance of the sommelier who knew instinktiw, which wein, from the many hundreds that are offered would interact perfectly with each cure. we could imagine that this gandalf has danced like master over his tasting table in the cellar, spends months, not perfecting his mystical art for years. fantastic! they should have seen our fathers face, from beginning to end, the ray of joy that was spread from ohr to ohr for his cheerful joy. we can only recommend that if they ever find themselves within 50 miles of carcassonne, first that they come to see the wonderful city of burg, because it is really a wonder to see and second come and experience the magical culinary magic that is being worked in this fantastic restaurant."

"We had heard about this relatively new brasserie and were finally able to visit it this week. Our party of four was seated at a round table inside the restaurant. The terrace outside was full of luncheon guests and the atmosphere was congenial. Our friends knew the manager and mentioned that he had just been awarded the distinction of "Top Sommelier in France". The owner of the brasserie has other establishments and a reputation as an excellent chef who consistently produces seasonal sensations.A flower pot of assorted vegetables along with whipped yogurt and chives was delivered to our table for our enjoyment while we were perusing the options. We selected the menu du jour - a fixed price, set menu consisting, on this particular day, of chilled cucumber soup, veal tenderloin and waffle with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The soup was delicious - chunks of cucumber enhanced the flavor along with a dollop of goat cheese. Individual loaves of multi grain bread were presented to each couple to accompany the dishes. Our main course of veal tenderloin was served with some of the best pan fried new potatoes we have had. The desert waffle was a triangle of excellent waffle topped with a scoop of home made vanilla ice cream, Chantilly cream and rich chocolate sauce - poured over it at the table. We all agreed it was excellent value -the whole meal (appetizer, main course, dessert) cost 16 euros. Reservations for lunch are strongly recommended."

"We were visiting Carcassonne for three nights, arriving on a Sunday evening. Knowing that there would be few restaurants open at that time we did a search on Trip Advisor for good restaurants. We sent emails to four restaurants that caught our eye and had replies from two. As I have a food allergy we were quite concerned that it would be difficult to find a good restaurant. How wrong we were! The lovely chef proprietor, Michele, emailed us back very quickly and said that she was unable to send us her menu as she shops each morning for the fresh meat etc and then makes her menu based on what she has bought. She said that it wouldn't be a problem to cook for us as everything is prepared freshly. We duly booked for 8:30 pm and were very impressed by the menu for that evening. As a starter my husband had a glorious salad of watermelon, a feta-type cheese, black olives and lovely salad leaves and said that it was delicious. I chose the dried ham, melon and leaves, which was equally good. Both portions were very big. The waitress asked if everything was okay and we told her the food was wonderful. The lovely chef, Michele, came out to introduce herself to us just before the main course and told us a bit about the food and her ethos for good cooking. As our main course we both had brochettes of rump steak served with vegetables. Divine! There were two brochettes each, wow! Such enormous portions. Feeling very, very full we only had ice cream as dessert, but the vanilla was the best that we had ever tasted. We had eaten so well that we I needed to walk around the town for an hour before we could contemplate going back to the apartment. The food was so good that we wanted to re-book, but the lovely chef, Michele, said that she was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we booked for Wednesday lunchtime as we were returning to England that evening. We were asked what we would like to eat and Michele said that she would make sure she bought it. My husband chose magret of duck and I had a veal chop. Again, the food was absolutely wonderful. Knowing how big the portions were we chose to share a starter and dessert. As a starter we had warmed Camembert cheese and a big salad of cherry tomatoes and mixed leaves and again had ice cream for dessert. The main courses were as big as expected and we didn't need anything else for the rest of the day!The restaurant is located near the Pont Vieux and so is easily accessible from both the new and old cities. The food prices are very reasonable and the drinks are far from expensive. If you are visiting Carcassonne I urge you to go to this restaurant, I know that you will not be disappointed. Should you also have a food allergy, then email Michele, I am sure that she would do her very best to accommodate your allergy. In short, wonderful food wonderful chef."
