"Remember Westminster Kingsway College is a training establishment and so flaws need to be detected and corrected. So consider this in your expectations on booking. However in general the food was excellent so no problems there. We dined at the Escoffier at lunch with the £40 tasting menu. This had a Thai flavour but was not spicy. There is also a separate vegetarian menu. I am not sure whether it is possible to ascertain the menu before booking but the dishes change every week. All the food is beautifully presented up to Michelin Star standards. The courses are appropriate size and you do not feel overfilled at the end. Canapés were served and then 4 or 5 courses. The Bream was the best I had tasted and the duck dish perfectly cooked. The dessert was a work of art and I understand that there are fully separate main and pastry kitchens. Thai fish soup was a little bland but that is being a bit picky. To follow was coffee with an amazing selection sweets and pastries. The nougat was to die for as well as the Turkish delight. There is a good selection of wine and we finished 2 bottles at £33 each. The serving staff and chefs are all students and there is one slightly fearsome supervisor/lecturer. The students started off being a little nervous so make sure any special requests are correctly noted. The lecturer is much in evidence. Any mistakes were largely around serving protocol. It is a fun experience for diners. We were there for 3 hours so don't make any appointments in the afternoon. At the end of the dinner the young chefs will come and speak to you about the meal. The restaurant itself is comfortable and art deco in style. The tables are closed together than at a usual 5 star establishment. The total bill for 4 was £234 and this is probably half the price of a tasting meal with wine elsewhere. There is no service charge but it is possible to make a donation on the way out."

""The best breakfast in London, and I've been to all the cafes here! The quality of the produce is top-notch and cooked perfectly. Other establishments should take notes and stop using cheap ingredients while overcharging. This place is always busy, unlike the two cafes up the road that are always empty. If The Regency opened at 6:30am, it would easily get six stars! Marco, Claudia, and the rest of the staff are doing an excellent job. Well done, guys. See you again soon!""

"Visited this past weekend with a large group from outside this country. Was offered a glass of bubbly, when this was declined by most of the party because they do not drink alcohol, this was pushed as it was a gift from the restaurant. When people say they don't drink alcohol it's probably not going to change their mind even when you say it's a gift. Our waiter would frequently go outside for a cigarette and when he returned it was clearly obvious as he smelled heavily of cigarettes. We had been moved from a different BSK due to a burst pipe but the restaurant was totally empty, no atmosphere."

"first I thought that halepi was the only Greek restaurant in london, which was established primarily as an Arabic clientele, with directed more of the relevant than of Greece. but it turns out that even aphrodite does the same. like halepi, it is a cypriotic restaurant and I understand the close similarity with levant cuisine, but they can not only feel this intentional affection to supply with arabes in all details and not in original wise. "The Hoop and Grapes is a lovely pub from 1593 which survived the great fire of London. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night and wasn’t sure if they’d let us in with our dog as it was a little busy (although not packed) and there was live music on but the staff were lovely, friendly and polite, happy to have our doggy who was no trouble, and they even brought water out for him which was much appreciated. We shared a bottle of wine and had one more drink after which was a reasonable price, especially for the area, and the atmosphere and decor was lovely. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!"

"A very pleasant place in the centre of the city. It might look small from the outside, but there is plenty space downstairs if you want to sit down and relax. The wooden interior is different from your usual coffee shop, it's not exactly cosy,, but it's definitely nice in its own way. I ordered a flat white and it was spot on. The milk had just the right texture and the temperature was perfect. It is clear that baristas have been trained well. You can also get some here, and they really thought about everyone they cater to different dietary needs."

"Wow! Just got home from a friends birthday and I must say, the food and service was impeccable. The salads were just perfect, I’m not even a salad type of guy, so that says a lot! "Booked here to a pre-prom meal for two. Food and service were inconsistent which was disappointing. Prawn starter was overcooked and mixed up wine pairing. Other table next to us were offered extra bread for their main but we had our bread dish taken away after the starter. For main, the rosti was not fully cooked with cold uncooked potato in the middle. I was offered to have chips instead and they turn out to be chewy and some were undercooked. As for dessert, they misunderstood that we wanted wine pairing for both dessert. Instead they brought two identical wine. We were offered to have dessert taken off the meal as a gesture, which was fine but the lack of care from front of house and kitchen leaves a bitter taste. It is a shame, some of the food were very good. The guinea fowl main was very delicious and so is the crème brûlée. The restaurant decor was elegant. We also heard that the service charge is not shared with the staff, but to the company. Sorry that is very bad practice and we will in future give the restaurant a miss."

"I ordered takeout from this restaurant today (5th Jan) and have been a loyal customer for a few years, both dining in and getting takeaway. However, I was very disappointed with my meal today. It cost £73 for three people, including a shared starter, and was delivered via Deliveroo. The food was lukewarm and the chicken was tough and difficult to eat, resulting in a lot of leftovers. The chicken dishes, one with noodles and one with rice, were very greasy with no added spice, lacking in flavor. The third dish, a special rice with only 1 prawn, 2 squid, and other ingredients, was also unappetizing and greasy. The meal had a strange taste that was different from what we have experienced in the past. We usually enjoy the food from this restaurant, and everyone was looking forward to this special meal, but unfortunately, we ended up throwing most of it away. It was a waste of money, and now we are resorting to making cheese on toast for dinner. Very disappointing."

"Sunday lunch is okay. Staff not so great. A lot of customers turn up with suitcases. After all it 's a 5 min walk from one of the busiest railroad stations on the planet (Paddington), which happens to deliver passengers to one of the busiest airports in the world (LHR). When I asked one of the staff if they had any storage on the ground floor, I got the sarcastic, answer this is a pub mate . I hauled my bags up a spiral staircase, watched others do same, watched a mother with young child haul their stroller up the same narrow spiral staircase. Most customers had bags. Smart ass bloke who was server not customer focussed."

"Great place, it can not recommend very enough! Service is very friendly and efficient, meat cuts and burgers are perfectly cooked and tasty and the cocktails are as good as in many high-end cocktail bars in London. In fact, I want to personally thank Lele, Zelman's Head Barman impeccable skills! Nothing was too much trouble for him, even if we left the menu. With some of my favorite places that are now closed for pandemic, like Roka's Shochu Lounge and Blind Spot, Zelman Soho is currently the top of my list. Keep the good job guys! We hope to visit you again in December."

"This was our first Sunday roast in London and we absolutely loved it. The food was great, and the atmosphere was casual. There was a young family sitting there, so quite family friendly. We had the chicken and pork belly both excellent. The crackling on the pork belly was delightful. Both the Yorkshire puddings and the potatoes were nice and crispy. The gravy was nice, though I could have used more to soak up with the potatoes! The staff were lovely. Wheelchair accessibility: there's a small (about 1.5 inches) step in front, but it's hard to get in because the pavement in front of the front door is narrow. A normal sized wheelchair should be fine, but a larger one will struggle. It took me a little while while my power wheelchair, but I got in. There are a few tables downstairs you might want to book in advance, but it should be fine. The toilets are upstairs (not accessible)."

"Pimlico £6.70 Yes IPA The Cask Pub Kitchen is located in a residential area in Pimlico SW1. The nearest Tube is Pimlico, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This pub opened in 2009 as London's first craft beer focussed pub. This site used to be the home of The Pimlico Tram pub named after the Tram that used to travel between Pimlico and Brixton. This pub is part of the Grade II listed Lillington Gardens Estate which was built in the 1960’s. This is a bright and airy one bar pub that is surprisingly spacious inside. The servery is situated on the back wall and has a high gloss wood grained counter. The decor is modern with a mixture of traditional and contemporary seating, the orange banquettes really stand out. There is a herringbone floor throughout, around the walls are unique framed beer prints. For the warmer months there are tables and chairs around the front of the pub. The beer selection is impressive with 10 cask options, 32 taps and a multitude of bottles plus a Vintage Beer Cellar to choose from. Prices range from £5.50 Pints up to a vintage Belgium bottled beer (deep breath) that costs £1850. I stayed within budget and decided on a pint of Yes IPA, my pint was excellent, price point was a little high. The food menu is a selection of burgers with vegan and veggie options, a Cheeseburger and fries costs £17.50. I arrived around 5pm on a Friday afternoon for an afterwork pint. The pub was fairly busy with a mixed crowd of beer connoisseurs, local workers and those in the know. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed as punters enjoyed their variety of tipples. I had a catch up with one of the owners who is clearly passionate about all things beer. We spoke about trade and some of the challenges he faces with more people now working from home post covid. I must admit, i’m not the most adventurous drinker but visiting the @caskpubsw1 was a very enjoyable experience. So if you know your Porter’s from your Pilsner’s and your Stout’s from your IPA’s, this is definitely a must visit London pub. Info correct on visiting 08.03.24"

"Lovely place and concepy. My friend recommended this place and I’m really glad I tried it. It very known for its combo meal which obviously has burger and lobster. Unfortunately, on that day I decided to only try the burger. I had the Chilli Burger. It was so good and hot. Their drinks are also great. Service is prompt and staff is welcoming. Definitely going back to try the combo. I wish it was cheaper though."

"This place is just around the corner from my work and I've been here many times. Sorry to be boring but I always order the chicken noodle salad which is so tasty I'm actually salivating right now just thinking about it. "We were looking for somewhere relaxed to have lunch near Oxford Street and this was the perfect place. The food was ready very quickly and was absolutely delicious.
