"Le Jardin de Collioure is (not surprisingly) a garden based restaurant in a lovely old monastery courtyard. You're essentially sat outside yet are sheltered from any wind by the surrounding walls. It's a lovely environment in which to eat.The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient and were happy to recommend dishes and wines. They were knowledgeable about what they were suggesting too. There were 6 of us on our two visits including 2 children. The kids both had the grilled sausage which is delicious. It's nice to see children's dishes being the same quality as the rest of the food. The rest of us all ate from the 38 Euro fixed menu. My wife and I had the Foie Gras to start and it was incredible. I've never tasted better. It's apparently made by the chef. For a main I had the Beef Fillet in mirror sauce with Banyuls(a local spirit). I have my steak cooked blue and it was done to perfection. The sauce was delicious and the accompaniments were perfect. Just enough to leave you satisfied. For dessert I had the Profiteroles which was actually one massive profiterole and was as good as the rest of the courses. My family all enjoyed their meals just as much as I did. The incredible quality of the food, including the children's menu, the excellent, friendly service and the beautiful surroundings make a trip the Le Jardin one to remember. It was so good we went twice during our week in Collioure and were equally impressed the second time.I can't recommend this restaurant enough. It is the perfect holiday eating experience and if I'm ever in the area the first place I'll go to eat."

"I advise anyone wishing to go there not to take into account the indicated closing times and days, because if I had not telephoned Mr José the day before and indeed on Friday April 19, I would have missed the opportunity to taste a delicious ice cream of his preparation, thank you again Mr José, we'll see you in two and a half weeks, gluttony is a bad flaw, but when it's delicious and it's really made in an artisanal way and not with powders of extracts of I don't know what and amellassé. See you soon again. I am not going to introduce you to Collioure, a little pearl of the Catalan landscape, but rather I am going to tell you about José, this artisan ice cream maker who transforms raw products, to make them a real delight for the taste buds, with diverse and varied flavors of ice cream, with naturally powerful and strong aromas, from violet to blackcurrant, passion fruit to coconut milk, pure happiness, for a bit I would have thought I was in Rome at Venchi which, for me, is the best ice cream in the world, just that. for comparison, this brave José masters his art, he is truly an ice artist, these creations are worth the detour and this man who speaks with love about his work, it is very pleasant to hear. Other ice cream makers who make their mixtures should come and get advice and even take classes. From good creamy ice cream to fruity sorbet, don't hesitate, José is the place to go."

"We have visited this restaurant seven times over the last few years. It never disappoints. The location is fantastic, with incredible views across the bay to Collioure from the terrace, where it's normal to eat unless the weather is inclement. The staff are wonderful and attentive without being intrusive. English speaking staff are always on hand for those who are less confident with speaking French. The food has been excellent on each occasion that we have dined and it is always interesting both in terms of flavour and presentation. This year, we left the choice of wine to the sommelier and chose to have a glass of something different with each course. It was a great decision. The set menus are very good and, at the lower end of the scale, are really not expensive considering that this is a Michelin starred restaurant. We have eaten off both the cheapest set menu and the intermediate one. Both have been excellent. We wouldn't bother with the A la carte menu because we've found the set menus to be so good. The limited parking really isn't an issue for anyone staying in Collioure as the place is relatively small and is easily navigable on foot. Although not in the heart of the town, the restaurant is just a few minutes walk from the town centre.I think that this is the best place in which I've eaten because of both the location (it really is stunning) and the quality of the food. Long may it continue!"
