"Zimmer: schön groß, Bett sehr bequem. Nur leidet die Schlafqualität unter der Lage an einer stark befahrenen Straße. TV ist für die Zimmergröße zu klein. WLAN stabil und schnell. Nur ein Hochflorteppich geht in einem Hotelzimmer gar nicht. Bad mit Sanierungsstau und leider Schwarzschimmel in der Dusche Anfahrt bzw. Zufahrt zum Parkplatz als Ortsunkundiger durch eine unmögliche Einbahnstraßenregelung gar nicht so einfach. Die kleine Tordurchfahrt ist leicht zu übersehen. Parkplatz viel zu klein, nur 10 Stellplätze vorhanden. Und dann wird es für die heutigen PKW schon eng. Frühstück lecker und ausreichend."

"Chef ist nicht da... heute war ich das erste und auch letzte Mal im Plaka essen. Wir waren zu viert und bestellten auch 4 Essen. Nach mehr als 1 Stunde kamen 3 Essen weil man eins vergessen hatte fertig zu machen. Ein Essen wurde auf 2 Personen erstmal aufgeteilt, nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde nochmal Fleisch nachgeliefert. Meine bestellte Rinderleber war total schwarz gegrillt. Ich ließ sie zurückgehen und bekam nach 10 Minuten einen neuen Teller aber mit dem alten, bereits kalten Reis. Das erste Stück Leber was ich angeschnitten hatte war leider innen noch roh. Ich ließ die Leber ein 2. Mal zurückgehen und wollte auch keinen 3. Versuch. Kurze Zeit später kam der Kellner und sagte der Chef wollte mich sprechen (obwohl sich dieser zur Zeit im Krankenhaus befindet). Es stellte sich heraus das der Koch mich in der Küche erwartete. Ich dachte er wollte sich entschuldigen. Aber weit gefehlt. Er hielt mir einen Teller mit Leber hin, schnitt alle an und brüllte mich an wo die Leber denn wohl noch roh sei, obwohl sich das Stück von mir nicht mehr drauf befand, es hatten zwar am Tisch alle das Stück gesehen, komisch, komisch. Doch dann kam die Krönung. Er brüllte er fühle sich gekränkt und ich bräuchte nicht wieder in sein Lokal zu kommen. So etwas ist mir noch nie passiert, das ein Koch seine Fehler auf den Gast abwälzt und er braucht keine Angst zu haben dieses Lokal werde ich nicht mehr betreten. Eigentlich hatten wir uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut, aber nicht im Plaka. Auch der Nachbartisch war entsetzt über das Verhalten des Kochs. Der Kellner war zum Glück sehr nett, konnte das ganze aber auch nicht mehr retten."

"Red Jerry is a little pizza delivery place. They always deliver promptly with a smile. We have ordered on several occasions, and only once were we underwhelmed, and we blamed that on the weather (the crust was limp) because of dampness. Usually, the pizzas are...decent, American style college fare, medium dish. They have a large variety of toppings, and I happen to like their bäck, which are little cheesy garlicy rolls. They also have an assortment of Ben and Jerry's, in case you just have to blow your weekly calorie allowance all at once."

"The restaurant has a nice ambience. The staff is nice and attentive. The menu offers a good size. There is also an extensive lunch ticket. Prices are more moderate. Our steaks on the mix plates from the daily menu were all very good. The single steak was ordered medium, but it was unfortunately fried. There are many free parking spaces available. The soups of the appetizer were fast there and very tasty. They would be served with a large basket grilled bread. Too many dishes can be put together salads at the extensive and fresh salad counter itself. Overall a good price performance ratio."

"Ich wollte nur mal schnell einen Kaffee und ein Brötchen. Der Kaffee kam nach 15 Minuten, dass belegte Brötchen, nach mehrfachen nachfragen, nach 35 Minuten. Leider hätte man vergessen die Butter zu verstreichen und auch der Belag war unterirdisch. Wahrscheinlich schnell am Büffet vorbei gelaufen und mal aufs Brötchen geschmissen. Das kann man sich schenken. Dann lieber ein Brötchen auf die Hand und auf eine Bank gesetzt."

"Wir waren zu zweit im Ban Phaithong in Detmold. Durch TripAdvisor hatten wir von diesem Thai Restaurant erfahren und waren wirklich sehr begeistert. Versteckt in einer Nebenstraße fanden wir das von außen unscheinbare Lokal. Wir hatten reserviert und das war auch gut so. Um 18.15 Uhr an einem Sonntag war der Laden komplett voll. Das Service Personal war super freundlich und die Atmosphäre original thailändisch. Unsere Vorspeisen kamen schnell und waren super. Der Hauptgang folgte und meiner Frau und mir war sofort klar, hier kommen wir ein zweites mal her. Preisleistung stimmt,Essen schmeckt und die Atmosphäre stimmt. Gerne wieder."

"We thought this was apple strudel after dinner in another restaurant. There was only one other table of guests and only one waitress, a young brunette girl. Although it was obvious that we don't speak their language, we could say one and apple strudel in terrible German, so they understood. The apple strudel was nicely served and tasted pretty good. Big enough for two, it was exactly what we wanted our first night in Germany. We enjoyed it so much, we wanted to return to dinner next night to try their dinner selection. When the young lady took the check, we tried to pay the amount of 5.50 euros with a credit card. She shook her head and seemed to say they don't take credit cards, so we gave her a 20 Euro note. When she made our change, she put the coins on the table with their values and quickly went away. After we turned them all around and counted, we realized that they had cut us 1 euro and tips are already included in the cost of food in restaurants in Germany. She was either too stupid to count the change from 5.50 to 20, or she deliberately changed us briefly. While the coins with their values face-down seemed dishonest to show, we prefer to think they are honest, but simply too stupid to change a 20 Euro note. No matter if you do not speak the language or especially if you are unfamiliar with the euro coins and their different values, be careful wherever you travel."

"I've always been looking for this restaurant 12 years ago. Prices may have risen by a good €1, but this is still extremely favorable in quality. Staff are completely acceptable and the atmosphere is okay. If this was a classic restaurant with appropriate prices, I would award at most 3/5 stars, but this is not a classic restaurant, and with the price-performance ratio 5 stars are absolutely appropriate. Here even the little man can afford a good meal, and I am grateful for that. I hope you will stay with us for a long time!"

"Zu erst: Es war Recht voll und wir haben spontan einen der letzten Tische bekommen. Das Ambiente ist gut, alles ein wenig sehr offen in einem großen Raum, aber Ansich gemütlich gestaltet mit schöner Bar und leiser Hintergrundmusik. Das wichtigste: Das Essen hat uns sehr sehr gut geschmeckt. Leider kam unsere Vorspeise erst zum Hauptgericht und eine Beilage wurde vertauscht. Auch die Getränke kamen sehr spät auf den Tisch. Aber ich schiebe das jetzt einfach mal auf den Umstand, dass es picke packe voll war. Denn das Essen, die Getränke und auch die Freundlichkeit waren sehr gut. Das nächste Mal, nach der Weihnachtszeit"

"The Cafe Cup is good. I know many people like it for it's cozy and Bohemian atmosphere, and drinkable coffee, which is good. But the food is not really worth it. The service is also good.... serviceable. I ordered cakes there... a few times with friends and it was okay, but not to write home. Better than eating. My husband went to lunch last week and I ordered a panini. It took forever to come. Unfortunately, I have a roasted sandwich that is not exactly a panini. The salad I ordered was not too fresh, and dressing is too oily. My husband ordered a cheese plate, and instead of small pieces of cheese, small pieces were served that were strange. My hot chocolate was 't real hot chocolate - it was only powder mixed with hardly warm milk. The whipped cream was made of a can. He wasn't overwhelmed with his cheese plate, but still managed to eat it. We wouldn't go back, except maybe if our friends who really like the place wanted to come, and if we do, we'll stick to cappuccino and cake. This is your best bet. But nice place, really good for coffee."

"We had breakfast at Wertvaluer in January and it was great, today it was a total flop. Unfortunately, the complete price-performance ratio doesn't match at all. If you order pumpkin compote you don't want to be served eggplant compote without being asked. I think a lot of young people who want to earn extra money in the service. The prerequisite is perhaps a smile and at least the girls should be properly trained. You don't bring coffee without a spoon, sugar and milk. And when you ask if you can still get these things, you don't have to be annoyed straight away. Second point is the food itself. The portions are far too small and are disproportionate to the price. We ordered 3 portions of scrambled eggs and received everything in a small bowl. We then split up, but that's not the point of the bowls on offer. The atmosphere in Detmold is beautiful, but we will no longer come for breakfast because we were horrified by the many little things that didn't suit us."
